I think Wade said that they would have Lissemore start at DT since it's an easier position to learn. So, at least for this season, he'd be taking up a roster spot as a DT.

No! He said they're gonna start him off at DE first and see, even though NT is an easier position to learn.

If you don't think Siavii is worth a lick, put on the Minnesota playoff game and watch him for yourself.

That's 53 right there.

SWitch Wall and AOA and I think you have it....AOA is legit and will be given a chance to become a CB first...he'd be the perfect replacement for TNEW in a year or two.

I think that if the Lissemore kid works out he will take the place of Siavii or Hatcher on the roster. My main reason for thinking this is because he'll play for a cheaper deal than either Siavii or Hatcher.I also think that the Dixon kid may make a little noise this year as well.

Are you Junior Siavii? I never said I didn't think he/you wasn't worth a lick, that's not even a phrase I would use. I think he/you is/are a decent player and provides some solid depth.

I was just taking my info from here http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=183284

Prolly start at NT easier to learn, then try him at DE

wrong
but Nichols will be the 3rd QB, which Hostile agrees with me about. It will be

Romo/Kitna/Nichols.

And on WR it should be Austin/KO/Bryant/Williams/Crayton/Hurd

but sadly there not as genius as me, so to start the season it will be: Austin/Williams/Bryant/Crayton/KO/Hurd

and half way threw the season it will be Austin/Bryant/Williams/KO/Crayton/Hurd
You're seriously smoking something strong.....

No way a UDFA comes in and takes McGee's spot. They've invested two seasons into grooming him into a backup. Nichols is just a body that they can use in TC & OTAs.

And you really need to get off your KO love affair cause it's getting sickening. Seriously But It'll be Austin/Bryant/RW11/Crayton/KO/Hurd when it's all said and done. RW11 may start the season over Bryant but KO will never overtake Bryant on the depth chart once Bryant gets playing time. PERIOD. Jerry won't let it happen and Bryant has more skill in his pinky than KO has as a whole.

Carpenter was average, if that, when in coverage. He really offers very little.

Go look at the receiving stats of the RB and TE we faced and get back to me.

Among all ILBs who played at least 25% of the snaps, Carpenter allowed the 6th highest YPC. Of 54 players, he all allowed the 21st highest QB Rating against and the 23rd highest completion % against.

...and yet he did considerably more than many of the other LB's on the roster. Most of whom did next to nothing at all. Now, with that being said, I'm not saying he won't get beat out by one of the young kids...but he sure as hell won't be unless they've shown a considerable amount of improvement.

Your stats, by the way, are very convenient. Carpenter is primarily a backup, and you've used a statistical measurement that would consist primarily of starters, with a few backups that play a big enough role to fill out a larger sample. He grades out poorly in YPC for sure, but in the other two examples you've noted he grades out in the middle...against a sample of mostly starting players. Gee...our backup didn't play as well as 2/3 of the starters in the league. Woe is me.

...and THAT being said, I hope he's gone too. I'd like nothing more than to have the Williams kid finally show up, and for Lee to come out with guns blazing.

I'm probably the only Siavii advocate here but I think it's extremely naive and ignorant to think the project we just drafted in the 7th round (an afterthought) would come in and replace him.

That's not even adding the notion that we plan on playing him at DE.
Could be wrong, but I believe that they're discussing him as a DT in the draft video someone posted earlier.

Siavii is a JAG. And that's probably overrating him. If Lissimore has anything at all, Siavii is gone.

The reality is that Dallas will trade or release several of the vets in the Spears, Siavii, Crayton, Hurd, and Carpenter area. We might have our favorites but it will be all on the coaching staff.

Bryant will take a WR spot and we keep only 5 again

Lee will take a ILB spot so either Carpenter or Hodge are history or both

AOA will take a S spot so Watkins probably gone and don't expect a FA there since they like Sensabaugh, Ball and M. Hamlin.

Wall will probably take the 4th or 5th CB spot.

Lissemore at NT could make it but they also brought in 2 UDFAs at that position so more than likely one of them make the team at that spot.

Figure Bright is going to be on of the OG backup.

Figure Dixon is going to be one of the DEs. Coaches appartently really like Dixon and Bright.

Anderson stays at FB unless one of the TE or FB UDFAs show something. Might be a bet that Scott Sicko TE out of Hampton decides to unretire and play football and if so has a great chance at the FB/HB spot.

Nichols will really have to show a lot to make the 53 and I think they would this year release Kitna before McGee. Most would disagree but Stephen Jones has said several times that he could see McGee being the backup QB this season. If so then Nichols has a chance.

The Huudgins kid from Elon at WR seems to have a chance to make the 53 as does Tepper at OG and maybe Junior Amuavee at NT or Costa at OC.Although most likely they all are on the PS. Would be unusal to more than 2 UDFAs make the squad although possible.
