1st round #27: Nate Allen, S, South Florida

I'd prefer Dallas to trade down if Allen is the highest player on their board. I have a feeling Allen would be available in the early to middle 2nd round, so this pick "screams" trade down. Assuming we stay at this slot however, the pick is Nate Allen. We need a young safety to groom with Sensabaugh being a restricted free agent, Mike Hamlin being an unknown, and Alan Ball likely not being a long-term solution.

**Dallas trades down, gives its 2nd round pick to a team and acquires a 3rd and 4th round pick and a 4th round pick in 2011.**

3rd round #??:
Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, CB, Indiana (PA)

Okay, try saying this kid's name ten times. His name is so cool that I would draft him just based on that. Alright but seriously, he's shooting up draft boards and he's projected to go somewhere in the 2nd round now. The question on him is, how will he fare against elite competition? We should take our shot on this guy because he fills an immediate need at kick AND punt returner, while competing for the dime corner spot with Alan Ball. Newman is getting up there in age, Scandrick is best suited as a nickelback/3rd corner in my opinion, and Ball is a restricted free agent. Oh, and Jenkins is a beast.

3rd round #90: Vladimir Ducasse, OT/OG, Massachusetts

I see Dallas looking to upgrade the interior of its offensive line, with a player also having the potential to move outside to tackle. Ducasse is a classic developmental guy who will need one or two offseasons to be ready in my opinion. Ducasse could possibly push Kosier for the starting LG spot and is a contingency plan just in case Brewster does not pan out at right tackle for the future. I know he's regarded as a 2nd round pick but players have been known to fall for no reason (Witten a 3rd round pick?) and Dallas would send in the card immediately if he was on the board in the 3rd round.

4th round #90: Brandon Spikes, ILB, Florida

I do believe in the reports that Spikes will free-fall. His 40 time will scare some teams away, but the value in the 3rd round is tremendous. Jerry sees an athletic and playmaking Bradie James in his eyes. Stephen Hodge is an unknown, this is likely Carpenter's final season in Dallas, Jason Williams is raw and who knows how he will develop, Brooking is solid but how many years does he have left, and Bradie is the only player we know will be here for the next 2-4 years.

4th round #122: Mike Neal, DE/DT, Purdue

If you've seen a picture of this kid, he looks like Spencer's twin brother! It's kind of creepy, but Neal gives us flexibility on the defensive line, which is much needed. Spears may not be back in 2011, Bowen and Hatcher are both restricted free agents as well. Neal has the ability to play inside and outside on the defensive line. Obviously he went to Pursue, just like Spencer, so he's a solid football player from a very respectable program and I guarantee the Cowboys have noted this. I've read from Silverbear's list that the Cowboys are interested in him. Hopefully, he's there in the 4th round.

6th round # 186: Eric Olsen, G/C, Notre Dame

I think a main focus of this draft for Dallas will be to improve the interior depth of the offensive line. I hope that McQuistan, Proctor and Preston will not be on the roster next year. I feel basically every year we try and find the player who will finally knock not only the weak link of the Cowboy OL, but the weak link of Free Reign as well, off the roster. Hopefully, Olsen is the guy.

7th round # 218: J'Marcus Webb, OT, West Texas A&M

We only have Free, Colombo and Brewster at the tackle position. Who will be the swing tackle now that Flozell is gone?

Alright guys, lets hear what you think. Like or dislike!

Ducasse won't be around in the 3rd round. And #59 is our pick in the 2nd round

Whoops, I switched a couple picks around and forgot to change it. I said Ducasse would probably go in the 2nd round, but stranger things have happened! Witten was supposed to be a surefire 1st rounder and ended up going in the 3rd. It's a possibility he could slip.

Aww Hell No, reaching in the 1st round cause we cut Hamlin is about the worst plan there is. I think in the first you still take BPA, regardless of the cuts.

But youre just predicting a random drop for no reason on a raw but talented OL? Why is he falling? What OL do you see going ahead of him? etc.

I could see a player like Charles Brown, Rodger Saffold, and maybe even Jared Veldheer going before Ducasse. I'm also expecting a long run on wide receivers just because that's been the trend in recent years.

Maybe because he is such a raw talent that most likely isn't NFL ready is a reason he could fall a round.

Theres not a ton of WR's projected to go in R2 though. Tate, D. Williams, Benn, and Lafell.

Like if you did a complete 3 round mock draft youd have a tough time letting Ducasse fall all the way to #90.

Not impossible I guess, but there wouldnt seem to be any reason for that to happen
