The #1 offense doesn't need to do anything other than continue to be the #1 ofgense. Regardless of how successful any one play is, you have no way of knowing if the opposing defense's preparation for potential trick plays actually makes other plays more successful. The willingness to try trick plays may well be why the offense is #1. Impossible to know.
