Post Parsons pass rush rates

So. Jerry talked about scheming a pass rush.

21st in pressure rate, 27th in sack rate.

Not to mention opponents are 8/12 on passes over 20 yards and are completing 66 percent of their passes.

I am wondering when this scheme is going to happen and what is taking so long for Williams and EZ to replace Parsons production.

By the way, 2 of the OL this team has gone against are the worst in the NFL at allowing pressure and sacks.

Please show me the light at the end of the tunnel for the pass rush.

Well you know, um, you just need to be patient, um, lots of moving part, um and it takes time to build a championship defense. We uh wanted to stop the run and,uh, understand it'll take some time for players to uh gel and communicate.
Reminds me back in the oil field days, uh getting frustrated looking for that well, you see. That well is out there somewhere and uh it's not always found in week 1 but uh just need to keep digging in the ground and we'll get some success.
I got the personnel, uh and it's not a personnel problem I'll tell you that much. It's just an execution problem and uh I'm confident Matt can get these men performing better. It's uh, long season and I still have sight set on playoffs. If uh there's a player out there that I can can improve this team, and the pass rush, well uh, we'll look real hard at uh acquiring him.

We are not rebuilding since we frankly were not all that no matter what the record might claim
we need to BUILD a championship team
and I have no confidence that the Front Office has clue one on how to do it

You can’t sack anybody if the ball is coming out quickly because guys are wide open due to broken coverages. Fix the coverage and then let’s see what the pressure rates look like.

Its like the coaches are now like: Wait.... it was due to Parson's always putting pressure on the QB that our DBs looked decent, and pre-Parson it looked very similar to what we now see (2020). But then they also say, nah it can't be that! I'm a good coach.... I'm a good coach...

Their defense was great

Love threw an interception and the Browns started at the Packers 4 yard line on their only touchdown of the game.

Next drive Packers had their FG attempt blocked and Cleveland started at mid field before kicking the game winning field goal as time expired.
