Hey daschoo, that top pic can't have been taken be in uist, it's not raining.

By the way, how was it in Hamburg. Had heard a rumour before the game that there might be some trouble, as apparently Hamburg have some kind of link with Rangers.

i've always been really lucky with the weather when i go up to uist. this year it was wild every night but during the day it was really nice. the only time it was a wee bit dodgy was the night we went over the causeway to eriskay for a pint because i'd had a beer in north uist, benbecula and south uist and wanted to get all four in one day. we were thinking it was looking a bit wild and then the next morning on the radio it was talking about cars getting lifted off the road a few miles up the coast on lewis.

hamburg was amazing, flew from liverpool to bremen. i missed the first 20-25 minutes because there was only one turnstile open for the celtic fans. the policing on the day of the game was very bizzare though. they gathered us all in the st pauli district and marched us through closed streets to coaches that the st pauli fans had organised to take us to the game where we were heavily segregated. one turnstile open and everybody entering the stadium was being searched so it started getting into a bit of a crush. police responded by bringing in the riot police with dogs and batons. never came to anything though and they eventualy opened a second turnstile. the strange thing was that after the game there was no real police prescence and we were mingling with the hamburg fans so not sure why they were so heavy handed beforehand. there were a few rangers flags in their end and before the game they unveiled a big union jack card display (which i missed and apparantly a lot of the germans weren't happy about) and a giant "no surrender" banner but other than that it was pretty friendly.
