11 weeks in. 6 games remaining (7 for teams that had a bye week)

Weekly Disclaimer on this statistical ranking (unlike other biased rankings, no personal opinions)
This does NOT say which QB is "the best"....ONLY how they have played so far this year.

"Combined Stats" just means using two key stats that --when combined--almost always point to the QBs having the best season (the eventual All-Pros, MVPs, etc)

Those stats are:
1) Standard QB Passer rating
2) Total TDs (Rushing and Passing) - Total Turnovers (Fumbles lost and Interceptions)

Here are the QB Rankings using Combined Stats after week 11:
(* have had a bye week, ** missed games )
  1. Rodgers**
  2. Cousins*
  3. Brady*
  4. Stafford*
  5. Murray**
  6. Prescott**
  7. Herbert*
  8. Allen* (tied 8th)
  9. Burrow* (tied 8th)
  10. Wentz
  11. Bridgewater*
  12. R Wilson**
  13. Garoppolo*
  14. Hurts
  15. Mahomes
  16. Carr*
  17. Roethlisberger**
  18. Tagovailoa**
  19. M Jones
  20. Jackson*
  21. Siemien*
  22. Heinke*
  23. Ryan*
  24. Mayfield**
  25. Tannehill
  26. D Jones*
  27. Goff**
  28. Mills*
  29. Brissett**
  30. Darnold**
  31. Lawrence*
  32. Z Wilson**
  33. Fields**

Omitted: Newton, Winston, Taylor, Lance, Dalton, G Smith, Lock, M White, Rush, Love, J Johnson, McCoy, Rudolph, Walker, Flacco

Rodgers climbed all the way to the top from dead last after week one.
smh
Cream rises as they say.

The under the radar guy all year has been Cousins. He didn't look like much vs Dallas, but has been good all year otherwise.....22 Tds and only 3 total turnovers, 106.3 QB rating.
Having a very good, albeit unspectacular year.

Really, about 10 QBs are having good years. Pretty much all of them have had at least 2 bad games, but many of their good games have been outstanding.

I really thought he'd be great this year with those weapons. I think they had a coaching change though?
They currently have the 2nd best record in the AFC.
But yes, the defense and run game carried them this far.
Hes been taking a beating in pass protection and just seems to be off thru 11 games

Both he and Lamar Jacksonhave turned it over a ton this year

Without taking into consideration who those QB were facing that means nothing.

Packers
Cards
Cowboys
Buc's
Rams
Titans
Ravens
Bills
Pats
Chiefs

What QB's have faced more of those teams than the others.

I still say Cousins is a stat padder who fails in the clutch too often. His low turnover numbers are impressive if not for the fact that he's become the king of the check down this year. His passer rating is always going to be inflated because he runs a WCO system. Still he must be given props for having a very good year. But he's not playing winning football.. he's playing fantasy football..

They lost to the Texans last week and without Derrick Henry I'd be real suprised if they can maintain that. We talk about our run game being the catalyst, Tennessee takes it to another level. It's also unreasonable to expect any qb to perform with the defense breathing down his neck. It's always been the recipe to defeat great qbs.

Henry carries that team.
Their hope is to hang on until the final weeks and squeeze into the playoffs.
Colts may pass them

Wentz over Mahomes and Wilson…awesome
Remember the disclaimer…..this in no way says who is the best QB.
Only who has produced more SO FAR THIS YEAR.

Wentz (or almost anyone else) is far worse than Mahomes normally.
But Mahomes has had a bunch of awful games this year….so far.

Wilson probably should be left out until he's played more games.
Hard to increase your TD-Turnover differential if you aren't even playing.
He was near the top before injury.

People have their biases, so when stats say otherwise they complain about it.
Not saying you are doing that, but it happens all the time.

No need to disclaim anything....your Rankings dont take what the team does (offensive philosphy) too high but honestly...its pretty on par with how that QB is playing right now...Now off course if you did something crazy like factor in previous years some would be happy I guess.

I probably fall somewhere in between you and those that are really high on Cousins.

He HAS played really well so far this yea, however.

Example:
Last week, in the Viking biggest game of the year so far against the rival Packers:
Cousins
  • Game-winning drive
  • 341 yards
  • 3 TDs
  • 0 turnovers
  • A huge 9.7 ypa….far from dink and dunk

Not many QBs have played better in a big game win so far this year

Yes…just combined stats.
Impossible for me to add in my own biases

I do think these combined rankings sell Jackson short a bit, even though they include rushing TDs (but not yards)
He does almost lead the league in turnovers though.

Hes a generational player. I hope this isn't the start of his mileage catching up to him.

I think its pretty spot on....maybe do them with all yards see if it goes way out of tilt.

What weapons? Henry? Brown? Not a Tannehill hater or fan, but I don’t see a lot of legit weapons in that passing offense. Their OL is also very suspect in pass blocking.
