Now over 3/4 of the season is behind us!
Every team has had their bye week and the playoff stretch is coming up!

Weekly Disclaimer on this statistical ranking (unlike other rankings, no personal opinions)
This does NOT say which QB is "the best"....ONLY how they have played so far this year.

"Combined Stats" just means using two key stats that --when combined--almost always point to the QBs having the best season (the eventual All-Pros, MVPs, etc)

Those stats are:
1) Standard QB Passer rating
2) Total TDs (Rushing and Passing) - Total Turnovers (Fumbles lost and Interceptions)

The sample size is now large and season ups and downs are getting smoothed out

Here are the QB Rankings using Combined Stats after week 14:

  1. Rodgers
  2. Stafford
  3. Brady
  4. Murray
  5. Cousins
  6. Herbert
  7. Wilson
  8. J. Allen
  9. Wentz
  10. Burrow
  11. Prescott (tied 11th)
  12. Garoppolo (tied (11th)
  13. Mahomes
  14. Bridgewater
  15. M Jones
  16. Tagovailoa
  17. Roethlisberger
  18. Carr (tied 18th)
  19. Hurts (tied 18th)
  20. Ryan
  21. Mayfield
  22. Seimien
  23. Heinike
  24. Tannehill
  25. Jackson
  26. D Jones
  27. Goff
  28. Mills
  29. Fields
  30. Lawrence
  31. Z Wilson

Omitted (not enough games): Winston, Taylor, Newton, Lance, Dalton, G Smith, Lock, M White, Rush, Love, J Johnson, McCoy, Rudolph, Walker, Flacco, Minshew

A couple more outings like last Sunday and Dak will end up between Jones and Goff.

Man, I hope not.

I'm thinking (hoping?) he comes around and maybe changes places with Wentz from 11 to 9. But looking at most of those top 10, they are going to be hard to pass.
Plus, at some point, Mahomes is going to stop turning it over and will move up more

Btw, a year with a +20 in turnover differential is considered really good.
Yet we already have 4 QBs topping that after playing 13 games max.

Wasn't Dak in the #1 - #4 range most of the year? I hope he figures things out soon and gets back to balling like he was last year and the first half of this year.

Ooof.

I suppose this is about right when you combine about 6 games of top 5 QB play and 6 games of average to below average QB play.

Hopefully he gets back on track prior to the playoffs.

Hope so!
Call me naive, but think he will get it going.

Move Dak down one spot by bumping Mahomes up a few and thats a pretty accurate list. Sometimes above avg Dak. Thats our $160 million guy.

Mahomes has so many turnovers this year, its held him down some.
I suspect he will creep further up, even though this hasn't been his best season....so far.
He and KC are rounding into shape though.

Again....this is only how the QBs have played so far this year and not how good they are in general.
Lamar Jackson is another example. I think he leads the league in turnovers and has been out-of-sorts most of this year, but he's not the 25th best QB in the NFL. Tannehill is probably better than he has shown this year too.
