As a diehard Cowboys fan, the days leading up to this weekend has been filled with all types of emotion:

The Anger of beating the Commanders in blowout fashion..Yet, when the season is on line, our Boys play scared ,and inevitably missed the playoffs, against a crippled Eagles team. The F’n Eagles!!

The Confusion..some may disagree, but this team is definitely talented, yet this so-called talent never transpired on a consistent basis. Blame the coaches.. fine. But the players definitely account for blame themselves. Pride still means something to me. How bout dem Cowboys?!

The Sadness and Relief that this roller coaster season is over. Sad bc of what could/should have been and I have to wait yet another 9mo for legit Cowboys football. Relieved this season will finally bring about much needed coaching changes. Don’t get me wrong folks.. I don’t hate Garrett like most here.. but it’s time for a new voice and this season punctuated this. 8-8 with this kind of talent...nuff said

The Fear, Anticipation, and Excitement of what’s to come. Changes are on the horizon.. So what does that mean?! A new HC of course, but who is the DC.. more importantly, what kind of defense are we going run.. 4-3..3-4? Are we signing Dak and Amari.. are we really going to let our best CB, Byron Jones, walk? Who knows?! It’s exciting times no matter how you look at it, but there’s always the fear we digress. So my fingers are crossed.

Finally I will say this..

Although our beloved Cowboys were absent of playoff football this weekend.. it was filled with Joy from this fan.. 3 out of 4 wins in this football fans mind

The cheating Patriots lost. The speculation of what’s to come (or end) for the Pats has begun and I personally couldn’t be happier. Call me hater..don’t care. I’m tired of the Patriots and the gross homerism from the media. Rome has fallen.

The Saints lost. Albeit they were wronged by the obvious “push-off no call” by Viking TE Rudolph to win the game. So sorry (shoulder shrug). See I’m born, raised, and still live deep in Saints country. My very existence as a Cowboy fan invites hatred daily from friends and co-workers.. Monday morning will be fun for me.

And of course.. The Eagles lost. The most despicable and disgusting thing known as a team on earth. The same team I heard cheer Irvin’s injury, witness throwing DD batteries at team busses and fans, and their arrogance is unworthy. I must admit, the Eagles losing alone would have made this weekend a success from my point of view. The fact that Wentz couldn’t last yet another playoff game, is amusing. The joy I get from their failures is most certainly a sin, yet it feels amazing.

This said.. I only wish the Bills could have pulled it out against the Texans. But Hey.. Add the official news that Garrett is done..for not being in the playoffs.. This has been a good weekend to be a Cowboys fan.

Another season of the Cowboys not being in the playoffs, and the same old fool will hire the next coach.

I'm guess I'm not as easily amused. Let's see where the Cowboys are 12 months from now.

I disagree slightly since I'd much rather have seen what Wentz could do in the playoffs. I'm also not against the Patriots, even tho I'm not really a fan of theirs.

The Saints weren't wronged in the least. Their DBs were DRAPED all over the Vikings the entire game. Was there contact in the endzone? Yeah. But there was no wrong doing.

The only wrong doing was Zimmer trying to give that game away by going completely going into "play not to lose" mode. The Saints get no excuses.

Well.. if you can’t allow yourself to see that Rudolph pushed off to catch the game winning TD in OT.. more power to ya my friend. I honestly don’t care to debate it, bc Like I said.. Im happy the Saints lost.

The way I see it though.. that blown call gives my local Saints fans something to cry about during the offseason. I’ll never hear the end of it. Sadly, I can’t disagree with them, like I couldn’t disagree with the obvious “no call” the Saints were screwed w/last year against the Rams. See.. I have a different take than you..

The truth is.. (if you watched the replay) Rudolph obviously should have been called for offensive pass interference. Playoff games should never end on questionable calls, most definitely questionable TDs to win games. Period.

That said..glad the Saints lost. Not glad I’ll have to hear the excuses

Let's say the offensive PI is called. Does the ball move back 15 yards for the Vikings?

The football gods have smiled upon this weekend.

Saints, Pats and Eagles all lose, and JG is officially fired.

You summed my whole post in two sentences.

Nice Cliffsnotes.

Now I’m concerned my wife may be right, I explain too much. Lol

Think it would have been a 10yd penalty and loss of down.. meaning the Viking would have the ball 4th and goal from the 14. Thus..more than likely would have kicked a FG to take the lead. But bc it wouldn’t have been a Viking TD, the Saints would have received the ball with a chance to tie or win. This is why Saints fans are livid right now.

Only thing that sucks right now is the possibility of the Packers or 9ers making the big game. I'll be a huge Vikings and Seahags fan next week...

Not a loss of down, just a 10 yard penalty...

Thanks, but I don't think you lose a down on a PI penalty.

Another day of the Cowboys stealing the playoff headlines.... :muttley:
