Mom went deep this year and hooked me up with this book - and a great framed photo from Steiner signed by damn near every Cowboy hero of the 70's. Thanks Mom, and for the whole pushing me out after nine months thing...

Classic! Must have cost a fortune!

Why? I see on Wikipedia he had to switch jersey numbers, so I assume the one he got was #21 which makes it worth more?

It was sarcasm.

I got an Alundis Brice throwback.

LOL! I got a Joe Fishback 1993 jersey. The only reason I bought it was because it was the road jersey with the silver numbers no stars on the sleeves. That's the best looking blue jersey they ever had.

I didn't get any Cowboys swag...In my fam, we ask for what we want and we get it.. I wanted an HD TV lol but I got some christmas money and and I've been browsing at a few Cowboy jackets on the team site..

Christmas swag was really down for me this year. My father raised me a Cowboys fan in the 70's, and Cowboys stuff used to always be there from him at gift time. Over the years he just seems to have been losing enthusiasm while getting more into high school and college football(nothing wrong with that). Today when talking he had no clue about the big game this coming weekend. I asked him how much Cowboys football he has watched this season, and said only the game I put on the tv on Thanksgiving when I came to visit, and just doesn't watch the NFL anymore. It was depressing. We used to love talking Cowboys, and now I might as well be talking about cottage cheese manufacturing when it comes to the subject.

Did he give you a reason why he no longer likes the NFL? I could guess why but maybe it's not what I'm thinking.

Didn't really get a chance to ask him. He turned the subject back to HS and College football.

/Edit. It really started after Jones and Johnson had the falling out from what I can see. He was mad at Jones for that, and that's when i noticed his enthusiasm for the team start slipping away.

Jerruh has made it easy for a lot of long time fans to see their enthusiasm slowly erode over the years.

Yep, it's what is has happen to me and my dad. Both of us barely care anymore, we used to be serious about them. Really when we do talk Cowboys it's to make fun of what a bunch of useless boobs they've become as an organization.

Not yet - I spent more time tracking names to the signatures on the picture. Name a famous Cowboy from the 70's and early 80's and he's signed it. Names I hadn't thought about in a long long time. Bob Breunig, Preston Pearson, DD Lewis, it's fun just looking through and seeing those names again.

I got a Cowboys calendar and since I hunt, a hard to find Dallas Cowboys blaze orange Reebok cap....
