Post your interesting facts about Dallas HERE

Dallas first season was a 12 game season.

From 1961 through 1977 the NFL played 14 games. Dallas had only one 7-7 season in that span. That happened in 1965, the year before Dallas began a streak of 20 straight winning seasons.

Ever since 1978 we have had 16 game seasons with the exception of the 2 strike years, 1982, and 1987.

We have only had one 8-8 season. 1999 under Chan Gailey.

Every other season has either been a winning one, or a losing one.

We have had 32 winning seasons. We have had 15 losing seasons. 2009 will be 33 winning seasons with one more win. Sunday sounds perfect for ensuring that.

In 1982 I was the Sports Information Director at Jamestown Community College in western NY state while going to school at the same time. We had the number 1 ranked basketball team in the country, mainly because we recruited nationwide.

One day I received a letter from the Dallas Cowboys addressed to me. I was shocked. I opened it up and it was from Gil Brandt asking me to please send him information on 3 of our players.

He didn't miss a trick.

any body know how they found Cliff Harris

Dallas was scouting a RB Hendersen State he was real fast the tape they got

there was this Safety from Ouacita U that keep on catching that boy

so Harris came in as UDFA

Harris was nicknamed "Captain Crash" by his teammates for his reckless pursuit of ball carriers. Pro Football Hall of Fame safety Larry Wilson said of Harris, "I feel Harris is the finest free safety in the business today. He changed the way the position is being played. You see other teams modeling their free safeties around the way Harris plays the pass, and striking fear in everyone on the field because he hits so hard." Harris made it a point to wear the pads of place kickers in order to keep his speed and quickness up.
