Do we really need Jacobs calling Seymour "soft" and "dirty". Do we need Strahan telling us that the dynasty is dead, that he killed it? Do we need Plax and company telling us that other teams bowed down in front of the Pats and that's why they lost? Jacobs said their whole mentality going into the game was "F--- those f---s." Really? Nice.

Is it becasue they haven't been here in so long that the Giants feel the need to strut and gloat? I hope this is not indicative of the NFL going the way of the NBA--I don't know if I could handle that.

At least the Patriots know how to lose with grace. Seymour and Bruschi were extremely complimentary of the Giants.

....I guess the good guys lost and the bad guys won last night. A mistake I hope is corrected next season.[/FONT]

I never heard the Patriots say a bad word about their opponents. Not that I don't think they were thinking it but they never said it. I'm not a Patriots fan by any sense of the word but they don't talk crap about the other team. :starspin

But there's more to winning with class than just being gracious when the cameras come on. Maybe the Patriots players had no control over it, but the coaching staff has alot to learn about winning with class rather than rubbing their opponent's face in it.

I never once heard a Pats fan criticize their team for "*** you" mode. Instead, they loved it and embraced it and rallied with it as they continued to be incredulous that anyone would criticize the Patriots, or hold them accountable for being caught cheating. And now they're upset that Brandon Jacobs ran his mouth, because noone on their team would ever do that. Oh well.

I agree....the Patriots "class" is so overrated it's a joke and Bellichek's walking off the field before the game ended puncutates that point. There are many other examples as well....the "lights out" dance in San Diego, Brady yelling in the face of some backup Steeler safety after a Moss td, running up the score with your starters against a number of teams early in the season....you can go on and on about the Patriots, they are no better than anyone else in the class department.

I wouldn't say the Patriots talk trash after a win, but they sure do like to rub it in.

Remember, the Pats dancing the Lights Out dance in San Diego last year.

Remember, the Popcorn celebration after their whipping of the Cowboys.

Having said that, we shouldn't interpret what a fan says as representing what the Patriots players have said.

I've about had it hearing about "Class" over and over again in the NFL. It's become a mantra, the worst cliche in sports. No one cares how you won in pro sports, just IF you won. That's it. Everything else is just extra.

Right...cause the Pats won with SOOOO much class all year. From the Lights Out in last years playoffs, to the making fun of T.O. for the "popcorn" thing, to running up scores on several teams, to your coach pushing cameramen out of the way, to leaving the field early.
