This may seem stupid and you guys can tell me to shut up any time you want, but if Jake Long gets cut, I would pay him no more than $5 million a season to be our RT. He's coming off an injury, the Rams seemed to have moved on from him with Saffold and Robinson manning the tackles and the guy has talent and experience. If Free wants more than him, I'd pick him up.

I think he has torn the same ACL 2 season in a row. That's not good.

Doesn't matter what he wants he can't make the final 53 IMO.

Hard to know for certain. The backup OT for 7 games in 2014 including the 2 playoff games was Tony Hills. I'm certain that Oher could beat out Hills. Hopefully, they find better options than Hills, but those options are unknown at this point.

They like Hills and I know that you know that. But how much is the question. Could he be a potential starter in another year? Blindside can barely play any more. I'd Free/Parnell a 2-3 year deal and go from there.

Hills is 30 and has started 1 game. He had been active in 10 games of a possible 96 in his career prior to joining the Cowboys.

Weems and Hawkins are hopefully the guys with upside. They Cowboys have kept each on the roster as inactive developmental player for a year each with Weems also spending another year on IR.

I'm happy with Parnell being the starter and Weems and Hawkins battling for the back up T spot. I have a good feeling Parnell is going to make Free an after thought.

I don't think this is stupid at all- a healthy Long would give us the same thing as free.

If Parenell or Free want too much, I was thinking the other guy that Long plays with- I would take a look at Joe Barksdale from St Louis. He played terribly last year- but I think it's because of who was around him. The year before he was actually pretty good when he had better players around. 27 years old, he is a really good run blocker but struggles in the passing game. He should be pretty cheap/
