The more I think about things, the more I think grabbing Pouncey is the best thing we could do. Our lack of push on short yardage was appalling. I think that deficiency began and ended with Gurode. Moving up for Pouncey, then letting Gurode and Kosier battle it out for LG seems like the quickest way to helping this team in a real problem area.

With all that said, where is Pouncey projected to go and what would we need to give up to get him?

I dont think they would move up for this guy.

I think he might be our pick if theres not the right trade down they want.

(Pittsburgh cant take Pouncey, Iupati, Kyle Wilson, and Anthony Davis so dont tell me he will 100% be gone)

I agree I think Dallas wants Pouncey. More talented Unger.

Gurode is still an excellent C, people need to realize he played through a number of injuries last year.

That said, we were apparently close to taking Unger last yr, and nothing has really changed at the interior spots since then. Pouncey is an elite C prospect and can also play guard. I wouldnt trade up for him, but if he fell in laps at 27 I wont be disappointed if we pick him.

Better take a look at what Broadus said about him last night. He was less than impressed with his play.

Better plan on moving up to 17, Steelers love him at 18. Their O Line is sive.

Yeah I know what he said, he was probably the one who Galloway was quoting when he said Leonard Davis was the worst OL last yr and Gurode was next. That said, Gurode was hurt. You didnt hear the guy complain or make excuses, which I like.

Has anyone even seen Pouncey play. I was just wondering because I can't find any highlights of the guy. I don't mind Dallas taking him if he is really good, but I don't want to reach for the guy either. I hadn't even heard his name as a first round guy until late in the draft process, so that just kind of worries me that he could be a reach if dallas takes him. I was just trying to get people's opinion on him that have actually watched him play.

You never saw the Florida Gators play in the last 3 years? They are TV as much as the Cowboys, like every week. To answer your question Pouncey is a stud. Love to have him wear the star.

Most people usually don't watch o-linemen play. The only one I focused on last year was Okung.

I don't watch the Offensive line play and plus I dont really care too much for college football unless my college is playing.

He was a big name in College.

He actually has a twin brother still at Florida. Both are really talented players.

Also the guy played in the SEC championship the day after passing a kidney stone.

Not to mention he is physical but his athletic side manages to stand out more.

First, tackle is more likely than guard that early.

Second, Pitt will have choice of Puncey or Iupati. They can't take both, and we will probably have a shot at the other. Check my mock draft analysis and stop just asserting unsubstantiated crap

Pouncey could be gone before Dallas picks from what I'm hearing... If he's there and is rated the best talent available then I wouldn't be upset.

No he's not. Struggles in space and has too many mental lapses.

If I am the Steelers I take Pouncey why because he supposedly can play both G & C

Iupati only G

Now if he played in the championship game with a kidney stone than I would be very impress. I am speaking from experience since I have had two of those stones and it is probably the third worst pain I have ever felt. As one doctor told me that is the closest thing a guy would come to the feeling of pregnancy.
