With the decline of Barber and the possible trade of Choice , what would you guys think about a big power back such as John Clay ? I think that a true power back would help on some of these third and goal from the 1 yard line. Of course fixing the O-line would be the biggest help. What backs are going to be available in this draft and does anyone know where they are rated ? Anybody have a " pet cat " that may fill the need ?

I had a pet cat last year, LeGarrette Blount.

My next one cannot be drafted yet, Trent Richardson.

Hos , I see it as a real need , I just don`t know any draft prospects other than Clay that can fill it. I`m sure there are more that I`m not aware of.

Trent Richardson is going to break NFL records.

To the OP
Anthony Allen
Allen Bradford
Mikel Leshoure
Daniel Thomas
Mike Ford
Stanley Havili (he's a FB)

I like the USC back, Allen Bradford. 6 Ft, 235 lbs has been productive when given the opportunity and plenty of upside.

I'd certainly be open to Clay, however.

I think the concept of the "power back" is largely pretty overrated. But I definitely wouldn't complain if we used a late round pick on another RB. I will throw a fit if we use an early pick on one though.

I haven't seen much of John Clay, but he certainly has the size. Is he a possiblility?

Quit stealing my pet cats.

Official 2012 Pet Cat List
Trent Richardson RB Alabama
Vontaze Burfict ILB Arizona State
Manti Te'o ILB Notre Dame
Shayne Skov ILB Stanford
Tank Carder ILB TCU

anyone see a theme there?

I also like Tennessee safety Janzen Jackson and Oregon cornerback Cliff Harris.

Richardson is the guy that spits time with Ingram, Right?
If so, yeah he is for real, both of them imo. You cannot go wrong with either Richadrson or Ingram.

Clay makes me think of Ron Dayne, maybe it because both played for Wisconsin. Anyway, Clay is not impressive to me

He played at the same high school as Emmitt too.

He might've been the 1st back taken this year.

I`m not really that high on Clay as a shifty, speed type back, but he does a good job getting 2 yards when needed for a first down. He is just straight ahead , power running.

But his running style is like Ron Dayne's. I like a RB that has some speed, quickness, power, elusiveness and most importantly intelligence and toughness, oh and receiving ability

those straight ahead runners, come in handy, but I do not like them.
