It all depends on what Jones does in the games.

He was playing at the same level last year in practice, but he had costly drops in the exhibition games that cooled the talk.

I liked Brown's upside and potential, still do. I initially thought he had a good chance to knock Butler off of the roster. And then Butler followed up a bad finish to 2016 with an apparent recommitment to football and has had a great offseason and camp, slamming the door on any of that talk.

At this point, it looks like Brown is strictly a practice squad candidate. I would just hope they don't lose him on waivers.
