IRVING, Texas – Less than 24 hours after beating Cleveland, 23-20, in overtime on Sunday, the Cowboys were back on the practice field to get ready for Thursday’s game against Washington.

Left tackle Tyron Smith was in attendance, but the practice is being run at walkthrough pace, so it’s not clear how much his high ankle sprain is bothering him. DeMarco Murray, who has missed the last five games with a sprained foot, was also in attendance.

They should start Parnell even if TS can play in order to minimize the risk of making it worse.; however, it would be good if TS can be the backup.

Play whoever gives us the best shot to win. We can't afford to save guys at this stage. Lose Thursday and we fall to 3rd place in the division.

Now bench free for parnell. heck parnell can get blown up 5 times a day as well as free can. Atleast it would give me someone new to yell at.

I saw Tyron suited up on the sidelines in what must have been the 3rd quarter.

He was standing up and although he wasn't moving around he looked like he could have gone back in.

Part of me now wonders if the team was giving Parnell a look in serious consideration of benching Free.

Let Parnell play LT and see how he does. No need to rush Tyron back from uncertain injury.

I suppose it's not really part of me wondering but hoping that this is the case.

Yea we arent saving players for later. We arent the Broncos that have a 3 game lead in a divison and decide to sit a player for a week because hes banged up. We are on the brink of elimination

We have to make a roster move otherwise. Unless we see Dockery as a backup tackle.

All kidding aside, parnell has his isuues but he doesnt get blown up on a play to play basis. I actually like Free but he is getting beat ANYWAY the dlineman want . Bull rush, speed rush, u name it. I dont get it with free. Put him on the bench for a game and let him think about it. Parnell really couldnt play any worse.....or atleast i hope not.

Hopefully Tyron can buy T.O.'s hyperbaric chamber in bankruptcy court

While defenders can go around Parnell, I didn't see anyone pushing him back into Romo. With Free, you get both.

Which makes you wonder why the guy is still out there. Can anyone say giant contract? :bang2:
