Yes he looked the part of the lead RB, I don't like what I have seen(not much mind you ) of McFadden and Dunbar. We need another back before the 1st game.

I think he sticks this year on 53. #rd string QB, special teams player, and a 3rd and 1 QB.

If Showers made the 53, it might be really difficult to get him on the game day 46.

He'd be special teams only.

Absolutely.

It's a shame we didn't get to see more of Joseph Randle last season.

There was no reason to bludgeon DeMarco Murray with so many carries.

Murray could've been kept fresher for late season work and we'd have an even better idea of Randle's abilities as a running back.

I like the coaching staff, but the way they handle playing time with some players is utterly bizarre.

I don't care if DeMarco Murray and Jason Witten didn't want to come off the field last season.

The coaches have to handle such situations better moving forward.

It was dumb to beat up Murray with all those carries and not take advantage of Joseph Randle's explosiveness in a change of pace role.

And Witten is past the point where he needs to be on the field for every single offensive snap.

I didn't like how they put Doug Free back in the line up the moment they thought he was ready, either.

Showers should be given a chance to develop. He can play on special teams and earn his keep !

If he can play on most of the special teams units, maybe it happens.

I think Jameill Showers will be released with the hope of clearing waivers and joining the practice squad.

I don't know if the team will carry 3 QBs again this year, but the coaches seem to like Dustin Vaughan.

Injuries will play a role in how the initial 53 shapes out and there's two more games to play.

Dallas might also trade some players for conditional draft picks next year.
