Practice squad anbd NFL Europe question...

does anybody know how this works--?
..If we assign 6 or so players to the PC how can we block another team from signing them each week?
seconldy, If we assign a player to NFL Europe does that free up another roster spot and does that player become our property ?

this coming year, it looks like we have too many quality players for only a certain amount of spots but I know PC and NFLE are 2 ways of keeping potential quality players from being scooped up by other teams.

We will start camp off with 3 roster exemption. Sorry about that we have 3 players in NFLE

First, the practice squad consists of eight players, not six... and no, the Boys can't block another team from signing any player they have on the practice squad, unless they're willing to promote that player to the active, 53 man roster... other teams could only sign such players to their active rosters too, not to their practice squad...

Yes-- we have 3 players in NFLE this season, this means we can bring 83 players to training camp (unless we cut one of those three players before camp)...

No, really, they're not... any potential quality player on the practice squad can be "scooped up" at any time, by any other team that is willing to put said player on their 53 man roster... the Cowboys have benefitted from this rule, and been victimized by it...

As for NFLE, it allows you to bring more players to camp, but when the roster cutdown comes, you still can't have more than 53 men, and an 8 man practice squad... doesn't matter how many of those players may have played in Europe the year before at that point...
