This guy was raved about last year in skins camp then got hurt. MLB is probably the most competitive spot on the skins.
This guy might be worth a practice squad look. I watched him at camp and preseason and has played very well. Think he got caught up in numbers game.
Clifton Smith 6'3" 255lbs - signed with the Commanders as a free agent after the completion of his college career at Syracuse. As an Orangeman, Smith compiled 405 total tackles, which ranks sixth on SU’s career list and fifth on the BIG EAST career leaderboard. Smith finished his Syracuse career with 244 solo tackles, the sixth-most in SU history. Thirty-six of his tackles were for a loss, which ranks third on the career ledger. He was a 2002 second-team All-BIG EAST selection and a first-team All-BIG EAST selection by The Sporting News. The ECAC honored him as a 2002 Division I-A All-Star, and he played in the 2003 Senior Bowl.
