Who on the ps has the best chance to make the team the next couple of years; and possibly contribute?

Cb-Mario Butler- showed some flashes of decent coverage skills. It seemed IMO he wasn't able to beat the receiver in a fight for the ball.

DL- Robert Callaway- don't know much about him. Spent 2010 on Detroit's ps after going undrafted. Anyone know anything?

Fb- Shaun Chapas- Made enough of an impression to get to the practice squad. His future seems cloudy if Fiametta continues to make an impact with run blocking.

Wr- Andre Holmes- I remember some guys on here were happy to sign him away from Minnesota. Has good size at 6'4 210lbs. Racked up 181 receptions, 2,444 yards and 17tds in college (div 11).

LB- Orie Lemon- seemed like a player with decent ability. Showed up on special teams. I actually didn't pay too much attention to him this pre-season.

WR/S- Akwasi-Owusu-Ansah- was really hoping he would step up and secure the starting safety gig in the next couple of years. Now converted to wide receiver; it seems like this is his last chance.

Wr- Teddy Williams- didn't really see a lot of playtime for Williams. The former track star has the speed; but that doesn't always make a good player. The coaching staff must have seen something in practice to merit a ps spot.

Wr- Raymond Radway (IR)- showed a lot of ability and potential before his injury. Which may have been a blessing in disguise. Not that you ever want to see a player injured; but being on IR may have protected him from other teams if he was placed on the ps.

Take your pick

Radway looked like a player to me. We'll see how he recovers.

Agree with Radway...but I liked the little bit I saw from Lemon. Seemed like a solid type guy to throw in there at MLB.

Lol, I was told this offseason that AOA would be one of our starting safeties by mid-season.

:laugh2:

He's on the 53-man roster, not the practice squad.

Really has he played a offensive snap... He looked decent in training camp, sorry I don't get all the boys games up in my neck of the woods

Radway looked like a player to me in the preseason but isn't he on the IR and not on the PS?

Amongst the others, I'd take Callaway.

Yes, TE Martin Rucker is the eighth guy on the practice squad.

Yes I noted that he was on IR.

Butler. The guy just competes and I would take him right now over Walker.

Not sure about upside, but I'd say Lemon is the most likely to be on the 53 at some point in the future.

I like Lemon a lot, but he's not as fast as Lee or Carter. I don't see him cracking the starting lineup while those guys are here, though he could be a good role player.

Radway looked good in preseason. I think his speed and leaping ability make him promising.

Those are the two guys I'd be looking at to make the 53-man roster next fall, especially Lemon as you've got to figure Brooking is likely to retire.

He's hasn't been active for a game yet. Yes, he looked very good in preseason, but you have to remember, that was with backups against backups. Plus, he's in a numbers crunch behind Felix, Choice, and Murray. I'd look to him getting more time next year, after Choice is gone.
