CB's are too valuable to just cut. You better believe other teams have scouts at our TC watching and identifying players who can help them & who hopefully get cut. However, the smart teams realize most of those guys won't make it through waivers and might be more then willing to give us a 7th rounder to ensure they get the guy they want. OTOH, I see Jerry taking advantage of the situation & packaging together 1-3 players (including a young, promising CB) in an effort to secure somebody's 4th or 5th rounder instead of just 7th rounders for each player.
