What is going on with Everrette Dawkins? Why hasn't Dallas signed him to their practice squad yet? Dallas only has 6 people on the practice squad and has room for two more people. Also why not bring in Sam Montgomery on the practice squad? I know he is a character concern, but he would be a high reward low risk option. Wilber looks much better at strong side linebacker and Dallas needs more DEs. I might even consider signing Montgomery to the active roster to allow Wilber to keep his new position.

One position of the two available on the PS would have to be for a QB. Also, the other one available might be for a RB if Dunbar is out for the year. That would leave a position on the active roster for one person.

If Montgomery didn't do anything wrong, I'd definitely look to bring him on the roster or at least the PS.

Both players you mention are terrible. Montgomery not only is a complete idiot but he isn't that good at football and those two things don't mix well. Dawkins just isn't a good player.. He lacks quickness and athleticism to get upfield and doesn't get off blocks well enough to be a good run defender

It appears that Lee, Durant and Holloman are probable for the next game. If any of them return, then Orie Lemon probably gets cut. Lemon is not really a guy with upside, especially in the 4-3.

Dallas had a 3rd round grade on Dawkins on draft day, I know they whiffed badly on that one but they are not a lot of talented free agent Dlineman out there. Montgomery and Dawkins are probably the most talented free agents out there and Dallas has two practice spots and one roster spot available. Why not just bring in two D Lineman in just for the heck of it? Who else is better out there? Take into account Dallas will probably cut Lemon once Durant, Holloman, and Lee come back so that would open up 2 roster spots on the active roster. I really don't expect much if anything from either Dawkins or Montgomery to be quite honest. With that said with there will most likely be two active roster spots with Lemon getting cut and Dunbar getting put on IR and an additional 2 practice squad spots so there will be 4 people that should be brought in.

I would offer Everrette Dawkins and Tyler Wilson a practice squad spot. I would then sign Montgomery and DC Jefferson to the active roster and see what they could do. If Montgomery and Jefferson are not humbled by their recent football inactivity they can simply be cut like Marvin Austin was with no damage done to the salary cap. if the line comes on for Montgomery, he could provide quality depth at DE and allow Wilber to stay at SLBer where he looks like a much better player.

When was Orie Lemon signed?

When was Orie Lemon signed?

As Picksix mentioned, he was signed last week. He played against the Raiders on special teams and in at least 1 goal line play. He was/is #98. He looks more like a DL than a LB now.
