I asked this question before and I think it was about Butler. What happens if you cut a FA you just signed in the off season before the start of the regular season. And I'm talking about cutting him just on the fact that he hadn't performed well in TC. Won't that make potential future FA leary of signing with us.

I don't see how that should deter anyone. If it does, than it means they are not a player we should want anyway.

Can anyway remember an example of this happing before?

Brodney Pool comes to mind. Witten humiliated him and basically yelled after a play to get him off this team. They did.

it happened a few years ago with a safety named Poole and perhaps another safety that played for the Steelers.

Will Allen was the safety from the Steelers. He at least made it out of training camp into the first quarter or so of the 2013 season.

No, it is not a conflicting report.

It is a bunch of people saying "no brace!", getting corrected by people who can see it, then revising it to "wait, I meant no knee brace".
