Yall if you could I just need prayers right now. I am going through a time when I am really trying to strengthen my relationship with God, and so far it has been tough. If anyone can find it in their heart, please pray for me.

Whatever is bothering you, you need not worry, it's just a test if you believe in God.

Take care, and whatever it is...it will come out for the best.

Being one of God's children is tough work. Just remember when the devil is at your elbow, that God is right there in the chair beside you. Talk to Him let Him carry your yoke and share your burden. God Bless You.

Guys I think right now, I am just having trouble with my personal relationship. How do we hear Gods voice? How do we pray and know God hears us, sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself...

Sometimes, maintaining a personal relationship with God is solely about following His commandments and teachings. It's not always about life changing revelations and burning bushes. Perhaps your life is in the exact position that God wants it to be right now...even though it seems precarious and lacking from your perspective.

If I may ask, are you having problems with faith and doubt?

Sometimes it is as simple as having faith in yourself.

Godspeed

Yeah, in a way. Ive always believed, and I still do. I just have all of these questions all of the sudden like Why does God give children to teenagers who arnt ready but not to people who can do it? Did God create Cancer, and if he did why? Does God make the Hurricanes and why does he let them hit good people? I am a Christian but I just have questions.

Ah.

So you're grappling with the problem of evil: If there really is an all-powerful, benevolent God, why is there so much pain and suffering in the world? Furthermore, if God really is all-good, how could evil exist at all?

In my opinion, the first question can be answered thusly: We invite pain and suffering into our lives whenever we sin, whenever we reject God and His Word. Unfortunately, because everyone is a sinner (even the "good people"), everyone exposes himself or herself to the prospect of experiencing pain and suffering, be it through disease, famine, natural disaster, or a myriad of other hardships.

The answer to the second question is somewhat more complicated; therefore, when trying to answer it, we must remember that evil is not a physical object nor is it quantifiable through some kind of tangible physical reaction. Evil does not exist in the same way the universe and everything contained therein exists. Rather, evil is a mental construct manifested when we disobey God.

God did not create evil, but He allows its manifestation by giving you the ability to reject Him. Without this ability, there is no free will. (The Book of Isaiah in the KJV states that God "created evil"; however, evil in this particular usage is translated from a Hebrew word meaning natural disaster. The KJV is using a different meaning of evil, one that serves as a blanket term for certain kinds of hardships rather than a behavioral description.)

Although God gives you the power to choose evil, it is entirely your decision what you do with that power.

Thanks for your help. I know I will never fully understand God with my limited human mind, and he is beyond our comprehension. Some things will be kept secret until the last day, everything else we need to know is in the Bible.

Two books you might consider. The 2nd one is the better of the two IMO.

Done deal. If you haven't figured it out he is working right now as you speak by allowing us to be here for you. He is so amazing and having a personal relationship with him is as easy as you getting on your knees and talking with him just like you are talkin with us. Tell him everything and how you feel and watch how he puts people in your path to help you(just like now) with what you are going through. It's 3:30 in the morning where I am and I couldn't sleep so I wondered why am I up. Now I know one of Gods children needed help.

Every morning I read a daily devotional from this website: http://www.bible.com/daily-devotional.php?dtype=Proverbs. Hope it helps you as much as it hs help me. Just know that he hears you and he loves you and he will pick you up and carry you when you can't carry yourself. God bless.

I've been tempted in my life to question God on things that do not make sense to me. I think that is very normal for a lot of people. God expects us to use our brains and not walk around blindly. However Jesus has mentioned in the New Testament that we are to have "child-like faith". It seems the older we get, the more we really want to know the ins and outs of certain things and when we were younger as Christians spiritually, we really never challenged God to a point.

For example, a little girl is told by her dad who is very poor that she will be getting a new dress next Saturday. She instantly goes, "goody!" and expects that dress to show up. In her mind, it is a done deal and she has shown faith in her father before she even sees the dress. That dress is already hers in her mind. Now picture that same girl as a grown woman. She now sees things in a different light that she never saw before. If the same dad tells her he is buying her a new dress, she may believe her dad. However, now she is aware that he doesn't have a lot of money and perhaps lost his job or takes other things into consideration to factor in whether that dress will come like before.

Its not the greatest example but I'm trying to state that God expects us to just trust in Him even though we don't understand a lot of things. That is why I believe He wants us to have child-like faith. Children just believe whatever you tell them as the sole truth. I know God doesn't want us to be like blind sheep just walking around aimlessly and clueless but there are so many things we just simply do not know. I have enough love and fear for Him that I know He knows my feelings and I simply will try to keep that "child-like faith" in moments like these. The bible says the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy. God does not kill babies, cause famine, etc. Everything started way back with Adam and the fall of man. Things today are not what God originally planned for us in the earth. It would take a lot more than this reply to fully explain what I believe in but let's just say I believe God isn't tied up and can't do anything on this earth sovereignly but I do believe a lot of things that can or can't be done is up to believers and our prayers.

Thanks. I really think that people dont understand that God gave us free will. People are free to do bad things, they will just have to answer for it.

I am surprised the devil hasn’t stuck his pitchfork in this thread before now, but God knows a good thing when he sees it.
Remember answered prayer is not God giving us the solution, thing, or situation that we ask for, it is changing our attitude about what is there.
For instance , Why is the person in the wheel chair.?
But we can thank God that the wheels are round instead of square.

Thank God he didn’t give you a new car because now you don’t have buy that expensive gas for your 10 speed.

Thank God that he has changed our attitude from “I’m going to die”. Back in Jan. when the Giants beat us to having the vision of the Super bowl in our heads as we go into the next season.
It is our attitude’s that God is constantly changing. Or our prayers he is constantly altering to fit His Will.

There have been many good words of advice on this thread, I have enjoyed reading them all.
You might want to look to your basic fault line on your foundation of Faith.
Mine is I’m a perfectionist. I start my day out knowing and looking for the devil to step in on that line before I have my coffee practically.
My husbands is his pride.
Everyone has a basic fault there all in the Bible under “works of the flesh”.
Find yours then let God work his answers around that fault line.
I’m always amazed when its like he takes me by the hand and says “step back, look at this without the perfectionist eye, you will have a better day. “
God speaks to us quietly in many little ways, it is always Amazing.
