Didn't realize he was so young....I referred to him in an earlier post as Tim, of course I know he is Mike....RIP, Coach...

I didn't either. I first knew him when he first started coaching at Washington State and I thought he was 60 then. My dad died at 61 just like Mike. Way way too young.

This is really sad. He was hilarious and ran a great Texas Tech program. Always just nice and funny. Coaching in college now is a 365 stress of coaching and recruiting. Sadly we will probably see this more

A gut punch. A true original. I really wanted to see him coach an SEC team for 10 years. See what he could do with that type of talent. So sad. We all lost a good one. May he RIP and God provide healing to his loved ones.

Awful news
The Pirate was an original.
RIP

There's never been a year with so many sudden deaths via stroke or blood clots
Even had one at the World Cup the other day....dude was half Leache's age. Crazy
I know personally 3 people in the last 6 months....none the previous 10 years

Always liked that guy. Interesting story. Not your typical football coach. And NEVER afraid to think outside-the-box. RIP Coach and Family.
