Pre-game Cowboys vs Commanders thread

today will be what we hoped to see last week. the tone in the zone will be optimistic for the next week

When's the last time Dallas beat anyone by double digits without Romo?
Did the person I quoted say anything about Romo? I'm sorry I must have missed that.

Cousins isn't exactly tearing it up either. Based on the first games, I'd take Dak over Cousins. Did you even watch the Steelers/Skins game?

You said we would win easily...did you not?

Yeah, I thought so...

COWBOYS!!!! YEAH!!!

There is absolutely no reason we shouldn't beat the Deadskins today handidly. Our defense isn't great but we managed to hold the Giants offense in check and the Skins offense is much much worse.

It's looking like Cousins is what a lot of people think he is, over rated and over paid. Norman does nothing but run his mouth and who knows if their dumb coaching staff will even put Norman on Dez.

I know it's the Steelers but their offense had their way with the Skins D. We have a better O line, better running game and should be able to control the clock.

There hasn't been a reason for teams to put their best DB on Dez in a very long time. I'm sure if for some un known reason Dez get's involved they will move Norman over and make Dez disappear.

Could be a shoot out, not sure we can hold the WRs Jackson, Garcon, Crowder, Doctson and TE Josh Reed below 20 this week.

With Scandrick questionable because of the hamstring, not good.

looks like his morning workout was good. Just saw the video of him running and he looked ok.

Hopefully he can play at least half the snaps. Broaddus said he expects the team to play mostly dime today so a lot of db's on the field.

It might be better to not have him out there & go with fresh legs. We need OScan healthy. 100% healthy.

Well if Scandrick can't go, we have only 3 cbs then? Carr, Claiborne, Brown. Won't be shocked then if Byron Jones plays some at cb also. Unless they are fine with 3 cbs.

Norman AKA I only lock down one side... is so weak.

I'm just glad it's a 1:00 game today instead of the gut-wrenching wait. I honestly don't know what to think. I feel it will be a close game but I still don't know who this team is. Hopefully, we lace up our big boy pants today and stick it to them.

I think our offense will look 100% better today. The Skins don't have the DL that the Giants do, Dak will have had a week to look at the film from last week and adjust his game accordingly, and I really expect us to run the ball right down the Skins throats. I'm hoping we don't see more than 20 passes from Dak, but with a higher completion percentage and much better YPA. I also expect to see Dak run if the opportunity presents itself.

Dak will clearly outplay Cousins, Morris will (in limited carries) look better than anyone they thought was better than him, and we will bask in the rueage of the Skins fans.

I still stick with a 2-2 start for us. I had us losing the first two and righting the ship after.

It all boils down to can we avoid mistakes and can we avoid the boneheaded plays.

Cousins will dink and dunk high % passes then hit Jackson on a deep bomb. If Wilcox has to cover him we are screwed.
