PS: Jamil Showers, Vince Mayle, Andy Jones, Rico Gathers, Jake Brendal, Caleb Azubike, Mark Nzeocha, Deon King, Deji Olatoye, Jerimiah McKinnon
Just a couple of thoughts
-Unless Elliot or Jackson goes down, Morris or McFadden will not be on the team beyond week 4. Either one gets cut to make room for Lawrence/Gregory or they get dealt to a team in need of a RB due to injury.
-Dunbar will be released or kept on IR after his six weeks on the PUP list are up
-Escobar will bump Swaim from the roster, despite us having very little interest in resigning him.
-Barring an injury to a d-lineman, Coe and Russell will be competing for the final DL spot after Lawrence/Gregory are reinstated.
-I think we keep 5 CBs and there will be an interesting camp battle between Brown, Mitchell, Olatoye and McKinnon.
-I know everyone around here loves cutting bottom of the roster guys, but I actually wanted to keep Danny McCray and just couldn't justify it now that Byron Jones is a full time safety. With him at FS, whoever loses the camp battle between Church and Wilcox should see a lot of time on special teams. Now maybe McCray is better enough times special teams that we keep him over who ever doesn't win the starting job, but that would mean Frazier has shown that he can play immediately if someone goes down.
