1st round (#27): Florida C Maurkice Pouncey
Big, versatile C takes over for Gurode in the near future. Smart and quick. Very adept at the shot-gun snap. A future line of Free, Gurode, Pouncey, Davis and Brewster looks pretty good to me.
2nd round (#59): Illinois WR Arrelious "Rejus" Benn
Inconsistent, but highly talented WR. Plays and runs tough like Anquan Boldin. Able to contribute as a kick-returner.
3rd round (#91): Indiana OT Roger Saffold
Strong, athletic and mobile 4-year starter becomes the swing player at OT and OG.
4th round (#123): Syracuse DT Arthur Jones
Active, rugged interior lineman who made a living in the opponent's backfield. Provides insurance in case a deal can't be worked out to retain Spears beyond 2010. At the least, allows us to rotate in a starting quality lineman off the bench.
6th round: (#187): Arizona CB Devin Ross
Slippery cover corner. Still raw but has all the requisite tools. Quality gunner on special teams.
7th round: (#219): Nebraska ILB Phillip Dillard
Smart, intense LB who stepped up big against Oklahoma: 8 tackles, 2 for loss, a sack and interception. Quite capable of playing 3 downs and provides excellent coverage against backs and TEs.
