Smith was definitely one to keep an eye on going into this preseason. Skill was there to get him drafted in the second round, but those back-to-back ACL tears are terrible luck. Who knows, maybe he can pull off a Jimmy Smith-type comeback from his injury.

It's really too bad on Jon'Vea, because he clearly knows how to use his speed and body to get open. Give the guy some hands and we'd be crowing about our UDFA find.

I agree with you. Maybe a year on the practice squad will do him good. He is worth investing time in to develop

Players actually have been able to improve their hands. The broadcast booth pointed out the poor hand placement on that drop. That's something that can be worked on.

The example I continue going back to is Miles Austin. He really had to work on his hands.
