The number of penalties we have year in and year out, are symptamatic of much larger issues that we have lacking accountability and discipline.
If Zim could flip the switch on those penalties that would make a huge difference.

It's disturbing the lack of accountability and discipline on both sides of the ball that exists with the Cowboys.

By nature of how the game is played pretty sure I know the answer but does anyone know the breakdown of which side of the ball has had more penalties the last 3 years? We get a ton of pre snap offensive penalties it seems like and I’d love to see a breakdown of Quinn’s defense vs the offensive penalties

I'm ok with jumping offside penalties every now and then. It's not ideal but it happens to even the best lineman. What I can't stand is lining up in the neutral zone. There's no excuse for that.

I can get behind it happening, I understand it. What I have an issue with is the breakdown when it’s a 3rd down or a crucial time in the game. To me that’s a lack of focus and discipline, you gotta know the situation. See niners game in the playoffs.

It's McCarthy, soft HC who the players love. It's amazing to me how much of a pass he is getting for how woefully unprepared he had this team.

Wait until the environment of accountability Zimmer brings with him hits the GREAT WALL OF JERRY.

Oh for sure! They’ll all run to Jerruh as soon as the first you Stupid M comes out of Zims mouth.

It’s probably why no coach has instilled discipline in this franchise. It’s a losing battle, and an environment that starts at the top. I can’t help but think about the rumors of the FO dictating playing time. Do other franchise do that?

All Jerry needs to do is step back and let the coach’s coach and set a structure that starts with his HC. If he wants the credit for building a team great! Do it with player personnel along side McClay.

AFC Championship game between Patriots and Chiefs___
3 - 1/2 minutes remaining: KC ahead 28-24...they intercepted a Brady pass that would have clinched a victory; but the turnover was negated when offsides was called on LB Dee Ford.

I feel it’s mostly Fowler and Sam Williams. Fowler will be Washington’s problem in a few weeks

Definitely, but he would also have to shut his mouth and get out of the spotlight….and thats what he cares about most.

He feels as if he is out there peddling his product, it benefits him. Completely blind to being counterproductive to the HCs authority.

I’ve said forever, I don’t need Jerry to quit or sell the team, just stay out of the media and stop rewarding bad performance by saying things are better than they are.

I was always hopeful they’d get lucky, but it’s never gonna work. Wins this time of year are too difficult to come by and they will never have the necessary toughness as long as these two have to run their mouths.

So there is some hope?
Not for the Haters.....

I still love Dan Quinn. He's a great man and an Ace. Defense just needs another voice. The edge wore thin....36 wins in 3 years and flame outs in playoffs got tiring.

This is why I was screaming for one of those hard nose HC's. No more player coaches, but coaches who won't accept anything but excellence. They need coaches to get in these players faces and hold them accountable for their play.

Yep, sometimes it’s not necessarily the X’s and O’s that require the most attention, it’s a philosophy or attitude. I wasn’t over the moon with this hire but the time is right for a more disciplined leader.

What’s he doing different I wonder? Maybe some watch the ball only drills?

The offsides are more maddening than just about any others. Seems so stupid to me.
Like, you can go when you see the ball move. Not anytime before. Seems simple.

in hindsight, I’d be ok with an offsides from Mazi. At least it would show he’s trying to get off the ball quicker.
