6 days to report day next Saturday.
Here are my pre TC divisional thoughts.
NFCE
Dallas should be the favorites, as in most cases, the defending winner should be the favorite.
Defense should be better, but we say this every year, but to no avail. However they have slightly been better each year for the past 3 years.
NY, always touted as the favorite, and they will be tough again, but Eli has been going down more and more on his skills every year. Yes he has more weapons, and a very good defense. But pass rushes seem to get to Eli more and more.
Washington, is always an unknown. They can all of a sudden play very well, then all of a sudden suck. I hope it is the latter.
Philly, they too seem up and down. I still think Went can be a very good QB for years, if he has the surrounding team. I can see somehow, they can be a team with a very good defense but offense struggles, and when the offense is good, the defense struggles, therefore...a continuation of.......
NFCN
GB is still the favorite here, however the Lions did take them to the brink last year, and the Vikings could if healthy. I can't see GB falling off, but not really any better either. It will be between those 3 teams. As the Bears have some work to do.
NFCS
Atlanta still the favorites, but Carolina has the tools to push them, but I do not see Atlanta dropping off. TB could very well push them too, they show the signs, but are they ready. NO seems to have some work to do, but in this division, I would not rule them out as some type of factor, even if it just a spoiler role.
NFCW
Seattle will be the favorites, and the Cards a close 2nd. Heck if healthy which has been their problem from really taking over this division, I can see them winning it. Rams and SF have a ways to go. The Rams for having all these high draft picks have done nothing with them, so maybe they come out of nowhere to get a playoff spot.
AFCE
NE wins by default every year, but they will crash and burn sooner than most believe. I can see Miami really pushing them, and if all goes well in Buffalo, them too, Jets ae a long way off.
AFCN
Pittsburg once again pushed as the favorite, they like NE will soon crash and burn. I can see Cincy taking this division or if the Ravens get things sorted out, they can too. Browns, well, it will be interesting yet again...LOL...
AFCS
The texans to the SB...not...They barely won it last year, as the last week, it could have the Colts or the titans taking the division. too many injuries on all the teams. So who gets the best QB play may determine this division. Do not rule out the Jaguars leap frogging to at least be a spoiler towards the end.
AFCW
Wow, this could be interesting. Raiders was looking really good until 2 QB's went down. I am saying they are the favorite, with KC a close 2nd. Denver will be good, but until a QB steps up, they are just OK. Chargers, who knows here, they are like Washington, can be good or be bad at any given stretch of games.
Now after TC, we may or may not know how any of this changes. But it is almost here, time to get the football faces on.
