work is slow today and I'm sick so here is my Cowboys Off Season:

Resign:
Martin, Franchise DLaw, tender Irving, Morris
Cut:
OSan, Crawford, Mayowa, Hanna - enough said Production does not warrant contracts
Restructure:
Dez - extend him for 4 more years until he's 34 front load the contract so if he really sucks we can Drop him.

FA - Stevie Jones said NO big money FA so heres my pics:
  • Andre Smith - G
  • Christian Jones - ILB
  • Tre Boston - FS
  • Mark Sanchez - QB

DRAFT:
19: R1P19
DL VITA VEA WASHINGTON 6'3 330lbs - Move Collins Back to 3T with Irving rotating in on 3rd down for the NASCAR package.

50: R2P18
G WILL HERNANDEZ UTEP 6'3 335lbs - Future LG and competition for Andre Smith

81: R3P17
TE MARK ANDREWS OKLAHOMA 6'5 255lbs - Needs work on blocking, but hey, our TE coach is a ex OL Coach and can we know Andrews can catch the ball and get open down field. besides he's about 1 year away from replacing Witten

118: R4P16
QB LUKE FALK WASHINGTON STATE 6'4 225lbs - Most Accurate QB in this class, All Time Pac 12 passer and is insurance incase Dak cannot get it together, next years crop of QB's is garbage outside of 1 or 2 guys I see coming up.

138: R4P36
WR DAESEAN HAMILTON PENN STATE 6'1 212lbs - Dak Friendly Route runner, PS all time leading WR.

139: R4P37
CB DARIUS PHILLIPS WESTERN MICHIGAN 5'10 190lbs - Oscan Replacement with better hands Former WR has returned several INTs for TDs.

174: R5P35
EDGE KEMOKO TURAY RUTGERS 6'6 255lbs - Pure EDGE will not do well against Run but who cares on the Weak side just line him up point him in direction and say go get him. very RAW - also replacement for Toker94

176: R5P37
S JUSTIN REID STANFORD 6'2 202lbs - (Probably not here but this is way board fell) Stanford and Big DBs go hand and hand, can play some CB but best in the deep safety position.

196: R6P19
OT BRETT TOTH ARMY 6'6 310 - Future Swing

236: R7P18
LB KENNY YOUNG UCLA 6'1 230lbs - Raw and fast needs technique and reading plays seasoning.

Justin Reid in the 5th is a STEAL...he's goin in the 2nd or 3rd.

Not awful.

The quarterback room just got a lot better even with anointed Kellen Moore undeservedly leading the room.

Getting KEMOKO TURAY and JUSTIN REID in the 5th round would be absolute steals.

You would need to add Alfred Morris to your re-sign list, he's a free agent.

thanks I forgot he was a free agent.

Yeah I was surprised they were on the board and nothing else sounded good....

I was torn between Falk in 4th or I could have gotten Mike White in 5th, but I went with the higher rated passer on there board in Falk and did not want to miss out on 1 of them... I need that safety net if Dak falls this year. If not we have a good backup or future trade bait.

One thing that will get glossed over......... bringing back Sanchez.

Yeah, he sucks as a QB but frankly, some things were said that he was a really good guy in the ear of Prescott in 2016. That alone would have me interested in bringing him back, especially considering we have a QB coach who has never been a QB coach.

I like it! I hope we do what's in this list.

And I'd be all over Tre Boston. No brainer IMO as a likely inexpensive vet S.

Obviously if they could get Thomas that would change things.

yep that was my thinking as well.

I actually wanted us to get him as an undrafted FA on the other site.

There is literally no way Hernandez is getting anywhere near #50.
He will no more slide that far than Nelson will slide to #19

Dude, the first three had me excited only to come crashing down when you selected Falk at QB. He is awful, and a no pocket awareness whatsoever QB. I've seen the Statue of Liberty move faster in fact!
