Predatory Journalism

I know this has been talked about alot, but the predatory style of journalism popular today is just sickening. The number of journalistic ****** (those who will do anything to "create" stories, whether true or not) is astounding. I actually found myself feeling a bit sorry for T.O. --something I thought I would NEVER say. He is obviously controlled somewhat by emotion, and these...J.W.s (we'll call them something a little more benign...an abbreviation) try so hard to create sensationalism it really irks me. The attempts to create a headline from Owens was so obvious. Why do we allow journalism to become "analysis". Anyone can "analyze" something, but I always thought journalism was at least SUPPOSED to be factual and objective. I think I'll start sending letters to the editors of some newspapers and do a little complaining. May not help, but I'll feel good about calling a ding-dong a ding-dong.

Sorry, but journalism is journalism ... it is what it is. We're not going to change that. Just like the ones who cover the movie stars need sensationalism to sell stories, so do these so-called sports-writers.

If TO wasn't such an *** and a media *****, then maybe they wouldn't bring it down on him.

T.O.'s doings were about things he volunteered when he spouted off about McNabb (right or wrong) and team issues....quite different than a reporter that keeps suggesting ideas that would make a good rag story. That isn't journalism. Most of the sports writers around are about the caliber of Tabloid writers (Enquirer, etc.). T.O. is weak minded and is easy prey to the media turds....kinda like putting a cake in front of a fatso.
