Someone else posted that he apparently broke his ankle, and hasn't been kicking for some time. But, I agree with you. If not for the injury, I would bring "Cobra" Kai back.

Haj missed a 56 yard kick against DEN, but 1. It was a long kick and 2. It wasn't the cleanest placement by Anger while Maher hit a PT that drifted a bit more than any of us would have liked.

It's all going to come down to who is the most accurate in practice as I don't think anyone doubts that Maher has the stronger leg, but every kick this year is going to be a nailbiter so be sure to have a favorite pillow nearby to slap across the room.

If it's out of these two, I think it will be Maher. But I hope our kicker is not on the roster yet.

Ankle surgery after 2020, didn't play at all last season, and he's 34 now. He's not in camp with anyone, so it seems his career is over.

If it was up to me, i would choose Haj, but knowing that Jerry and son are more familiar with Maher....we like our guys, remember?.... they will go with Maher. They cut Haj twice last year even though he kicked pretty good, went with the known kicker. I really thought Garibay was gonna win the job, but he crapped the bed, and here we are. Now watch him get picked up and becomes a decent kicker.
