OK, so we're already doing a pick the draft picks where we get 20 picks to take stabs at who we think the Cowboys will draft.

This thread, for now, is about picking the player you think Dallas is most likely to pick with their first round pick given they don't trade out of the first, which is highly unlikely. If that happens, then we go with whoever they pick first.

After day 1 is over, we can assess the players available and try to take a stab at that round. For now, let's take a stab at guessing their pick round 1.

I've taken some heat for this already in a mock draft. But I'm doubling down on my stupidity and going to say Kenneth Grant.

You only get one player, but your most recent pick is your player.

Like Risen's thread, it's who you think they are picking instead of who you want.

If available, J Walker he offers the highest value at 12 IMO.
I think we could go any direction they see as the BPA.
I won't be shocked by almost any pick, unless it's a reach for a DT like T Williams, which I would love!

I’m going with T Williams. Dlaw rides off and his replacement comes in.

They love them some O Line in the 1st round and J. Simmons is the best tackle in the draft.
I've heard his knee is a none issue, if true this kid will be our LT for the next 10+ years. Guyton back to RT, maybe swing tackle this year if he isn't better than Steele.

we will trade down and take Golden

Please no Golden. Seems like an Al Davis pick. Good combine but not much production.
what!? he was very productive in college. well polished. had 58 receptions for almost a 1000 yards. 9 TDs....he played in a tough conference against good competition too.

I like him a little better than Tet.....

I see 2 games over 100 yards and 8 games with 50 yards or less last year. The 2 seasons prior he caught 30 some balls. TMc’s production is through the roof compared to that. That being said, I would rather have a trench guy at 12.

I just don't see WR at #12. Dallas feels they've already addressed it with the Mingo trade, and they have other young WR's. I'm not sure the value is there at #12 either. Defensive line is a far greater need too. It's been in decline.

Dallas takes a defensive lineman with their first choice, assuming they like who they see. OL and CB are candidates otherwise.

I would be happy with either. I do like TMac, but his speed is worrisome, although he reminds me of Irvin

I don’t hate Golden as a WR, but please not at 12. Most years drafts, Golden is a late first-early second round pick.

The LAST thing this team needs in round one is a reach pick for position need.

Unless Jeanty falls the pick is going to be a WR. Just don’t know which one they’re going to pick. This draft class is not as weak as talking heads were first predicting. The RB class is special. TE class is strong and the defensive line has some real studs. The Cowboys should be able to grab a starting WR and starting RB in the first 2 rounds and then pick whom they feel best suits their needs in the 3rd who could also be a starter.

Bottom line is the Cowboys need to do well in the draft. That’s something they’ve done well over the years so expect the same. They’ve had some duds but are batting near the top of the league on average.
