Now I thought this would be a fun discussion, they are a good team, there is no doubt about that. They lost a few players this offseason, aswell as having the most ridiculous pre-season injuries I can remember (not incl; a starting QB going down).

Marvin Austin DT (IR)
Ramses Barden WR (PUP)
Brian Jackson FS (IR)
Bruce Johnson CB (IR)
Chad Jones SS (NF-Inj.)
Adam Koets C (PUP)
Martin Parker DT (IR)
Sage Rosenfels QB (IR)
Clint Sintim OLB (IR)
Terrell Thomas CB (IR)
Brian Witherspoon CB (IR)
Jonathan Goff MLB (IR)
Osi Umenyiora (Knee)
Tiki Barber (Lost his mind.)

A team that could've been in contention for winning the NFC East now looks like a team that will be forced into thinking long-term. What would you predict their 2011 record as?

I'm going 7-9. I can't imagine the Giants completely crashing with the runningback tandem and WR tandem they have, but I can't imagine their LB's doing anything worthy of being rostered and any defensive players other than Tuck, Pierre-Paul and Rolle doing anything notable all season long.

8-8. They are talented, but the O-line is so old and decrepit and the schedule so tough...

6-10 or 7-9.

I think they will put on a few dominant showings like the pre-season game against the Bears, and then have several head scratchers where you can't believe they found a way to lose. They just have so many injuries, it's hard to expect a lot.

As much as I hate to say it, you can never count those suckers out. Every year they go through some drama, injuries, Eli struggles, players hate Coughlin, etc. and yet they never completely collapse like how the Cowboys did last year.

No, they have a few young 'uns they brought on this year.

The're still starting the same safety that ranked one spot ahead of Alan Ball last season, and Kenny Phillips looked like he was 85% of the player he was before surgery.

If they lose one or two players up front on defense, they're screwed. Totally screwed.

I don't think I've ever seen a team get so many injuries before the season officially started. You can blame the lockout for not having OTAs etc., but given that some teams were hit so much harder than others, I think it all just comes down to bad luck. Tough break for NYG. I see them at 8-8.

The thing is someone posted on their official forums, they're actually 7th in the league right now with players on IR. Six teams are worse off numbers wise???

The kicker is that so many of their IR/PUP players were going to be major contributors including two of their top draft picks. Losing the DT and two linebackers is not what they need at all considering they're razor thin in the secondary.

Reading on their boards right now that because of injuries, cuts, and FA losses, they'll have 12 of the same starters from week 1 of last year.

You must've missed their last two games of 2009. They looked like us against Green Bay last year. Once they went down 10-0 against Minnesota, they absolutely gave up. Their forums were full of some angry folks after being beaten 85-16 the last two games of the season where they could have made the playoffs.

They have so many injuries already its hard to see them winning more then 9 games. 8-8

10-6. They always Play better when their backs are against the wall.

It's payback for injuring Romo last year. :muttley:

I think a giant record would have to be Sgt Peppers lonely heartclub band by the beatles....Ohh not that kind of record....nevermind than

13-3. They'll run the table. Eli will prove to the world he's WAY BETTER than his brother. Prince Amukamara will make the Pro-Bowl from the 3 games that he plays because of the 15 picks that he gets (5 a game). They'll shut us out, the Eagles, and the Commanders. Also, they'll beat every team in the AFC EAST. :lmao:

Obviously they will battle with Dallas for 2nd. 10-6, tied with Cowboys and just losing out to them in WC hunt.
