I'll assume the Boys get DeCastro in the draft.
Offense:
QB: Romo
RB: Murray
FB: Vickers
WR: Bryant, Austin
TE: Witten
OL: Smith, DeCastro, Costa, Livings, Free
Defense:
DE: Hatcher, Coleman
NT: Ratliff
OLB: Ware, Spencer
ILB: Lee, Carter
CB: Jenkins, Carr
SS: Sensabaugh
FS: Poole
I'd be really surprised if they brought Bernadeau in to be a starter. I think they brought him in to add depth and versatility. He can fill in at pretty much any position on the line. If the Cowboys miss DeCastro in the 1st, I think the starter will be whoever they manage to get in the 2nd or 3rd instead. I think Costa keeps his job for one more year, but I also think they'll be drafting a center early next year if he keeps having the same problems. It looks like we're in agreement that the lack of TE depth will force them to go back to the 21 as their primary formation as mentioned on BTB earlier. I am more than OK with that.
I think Hatcher and Coleman get the starts at DE by default unless Spears takes his job back in training camp or the lights come on for one of the young guys. I'm with everybody else in wanting to get Rat on the end, but the Cowboys haven't shown any interest in doing that. Connor might start training camp as the #1, but I think Carter will take the job. At least I hope he does. I expect Sensabaugh to get pushed by whoever they take in the draft. I don't think he'll lose it straight away, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a rookie at SS by week 10 or 12. That's not a knock on Sensabaugh. He's serviceable. I just think JG is committed to starting the best player regardless of salary or tenure.
Edit: Bernadeau...Bernadeau. Gotta learn the new guys' names.
