We were collectively pretty spot on last year with 7-10 being the consensus (51.2% within a notch of that same choice).

So I'm going say 11-6 since that's currently leading (it was also my guess before coming in).

Sho'nuff. That's my optimistic view also but my more pessimistic view is 9-8 and I base that on so many unknowns with so many new players and injury possibilities.

Anyone other than the Rams and I like our chances, but if it’s them? That’s gonna be a tough one. I only hope that the defense has fully hit its stride by then.

I truly believe this team has everything it needs to have a special season. In other words I believe this is our window right now , this season.

I had this same debate with myself in Big Mac's second year, and our first of the three 12 win seasons. Felt like they were a 12 win team, things were going to come together for defense, offense would dominate, and so on, but stuck to my usual Cowboys disappointment prediction. So this time, screw it, I'm going with 12 wins. I have no idea if they'll get out of the first round, but I know this team does have a lot of guys who at least know how to win regular season games.

I voted 11-6.

My reasoning is simple — they’ve had some good regular seasons after being awful for a few years in the last 20 years and I think they’re due for one of those, the changes on defense being the main reason why.

I also think they’ll come up short in the playoffs like they always do, hopefully this is the year where everything changes but I’ll believe it when I see it.

I was between 11-6 and 10-7, settled on 10-7. I still think this defense will have trouble generating a pass rush. I also think we may actually take a step back on offense. Can't afford to have significant injuries on the OL or to JaVonte Williams. Not much depth behind them. Also consider that Dak is one more year older.

I went 10-7. I don’t predict game by game because at this point no one knows what another team is yet. We added some talent on defense and I really like what new DC Chris Parker is bringing. We definitely have weapons and seem hungry to improve.

But I don’t expect this defense to be great yet. Parker is a rookie DC and there will be a learning curve for him. Our situation at OT concerns me and we will be relying on lots of young players on D.

Going 10-7 seems about right to me. Beyond that who knows?
