Do you know what games played a bigger factor in 2019 then the ones you mentioned?
We lost 3 games in 2019 where our defense held teams to 12, 13, and 17 points. We lost all 3 of those games. Dak threw for zero TDS in those games.
That is the most concerning thing to me. When our defense has been good we still don't get it done because certain players don't play well against good competition, but they get a big contract for it because they are popular and sells jerseys.
I think those games reflect poor game plans , lack of ability to adjust in game, and bad play calling, and playbook that lacks innovation.
Also game mgmt by HC.
In those games I would say the def coaches did a good job , but the HC and OC did a poor job. and then there is the players, not doing well at times.
True, though I don't think that's going to be an issue. With the weapons on offense we have now, if we struggle to score, then I don't know anymore. We simply have the weapons to score a lot now, and Dak is an excellent QB. He got unlucky with the Pats game I should add. Two bs tripping calls. If not for that, I think we'd have beaten New England.
Same thing, no matter how many
weapons or talent you have on offense, if it isnt used correctly for THAT GAME then they wont score enough to win.
A good example is the SB , TB had a good game plan defensively , and KC could not or would not adjust to it.
KC has better weapons than dallas but could not score a td. That was all about coaches , and game plans and play calling.
I think this is where dallas is still lacking, the area of coaches, game plans, and play design, play calling.
I can see where dallas may have a better DC, and maybe better def game plans now, but the offense has Kellen and MM lol
So good at times, but too often the wheels will just fall off.
I just watched the rams game 1 of last season again, and dallas had 2 good drives for td's. But the other drives, they had at least 3 where
they would be doing good, and then have a awful set of downs, which I see as the wheels coming off lol.
they go from looking good to looking like keystone cops or 3 stooges . that is due to the coaches.
I also think the way players play on the field, and how prepared they are and how consistent they are at executing plays, is all
on the coaches. Sometimes it can be on players, but mostly it is on the coaches.
