I very seriously doubt ALL that preferred the Cowboys taking Ramsey will be pulling for him I believe very few if any will be "pulling" for him unless they were FANS of him and his college team. Fans tend to pull against the players you passed up and hope they don't pan out so there's no regret for passing them up. If Ramsey becomes a great player and a better player than Zeke it's going to torment the fans that wanted Ramsey over Zeke. It's going to tear them up for YEARS that we could have drafted Ramsey the player they wanted so they'll pull against him so there's no looking back as to what could have been had we drafted him. If you've noticed not one person has picked Zeke to be a bust and there's a lot of fans on this board that weren't happy with the Cowboys picking him. Because they did pick Zeke every Cowboy fan even those that wanted Ramsey are pulling for Zeke.

Predict which non-Cowboy rookie will be a bust. you must've missed that in the OP

Ok, Probably not ALL.
But no, I totally disagree regarding those that thought Dallas SHOULD take Ramsey. They will want to be vindicated. And by definition, since they wanted Dallas to take they player, they already must like the player. They will want to see him succeed...imo.
Again, that doesn't mean they won't pull hard for Zeke anyway.

Now if he went to a rival, that might be different. But he went to a team in an entirely different conference.

So in this case, we can agree to disagree. No big deal. Can't agree on everything.

If you want to do a poll and ask all those that wanted Ramsey if they want to see him do well going forward, I bet the results will surprise you. But then, some that didn't want him might answer it too, so hard to measure.

I was in the trade dwon camp but am thrilled with Zeke. I also liked Ramsey and may have preferred him over Zeke (because I think we could get a good rookie later) more for us, but was a tiny bit skeptical given our scheme and the fact we just drafted Jones. I very much want him to succeed in Jacksonville though.

Completely wrong on Tunsil...clearly the safest bet in the draft.

Think about it....

Kid has already been nailed for pot...so he's gonna be under a microscope.

Miami's drug scene/easy access is probably the last place he should be in.

Plus the fact the Dolphins are being run in into the ground by Mike Tannenbaum w/ his wacky trades....

This is just asking for failure.

If the Dolphins had drafted him w/ the intent of playing him @ left Tackle...then maybe it would work out. But they are completely doing this kid a dis-service by moving him to a position he has never played before.

This is an opinion piece....so there it is. IMO this has all the makings of a grand bust.

Also don't forget before all the big trades for the QBs...Tunsil was projected to be the #1 pick. So something happened in the process that made Tennessee think he wasn't worth the #1 pick. That should throw up another red flag.

I'm sure they'll be some that will want Ramsey to do well but you won't find any who want him to do better than Zeke at least not if they're a Cowboys fan.

We can agree on that part.

This is the part about the disagreement on Elliott at 4. I don't believe anybody ever said that they didn't think the kid was talented or that he would not do well here. It was about value, financials and the QB and/or Defense. It was never a question of talent with Elliott. Everybody new he had talent IMO.
