Predicted Record

@NYG W
Oak W
@Chicago L
Green Bay L
@washington W
Phi L

8-8. Whether that is enough to win the division remains to be seen.

If we lose to the Nyg, though, a division title is unlikely and may lead to 7-9 or 6-10.

Swap the last two and we're still at 8-8 and probably winning the division, then a quick exit and yet another year for Garrett, worst case scenario IMO.

7-9 is my guess, but it wouldnt surprise me if they lose out.

I think this team losing out is more likely than them going 4-2, thats for sure. Right now, as of this minute, the only game I am fairly confident in winning is the Oakland game.

So you come to that conclusion because of the saints game in the dome knowing that they won't face another offense like that the remainder of the regular season?

Go to bed

At this point I'll be happy if they can manage to lose out. 5-11 might be top 5 pick worthy.

I'm surprised there are a few moderately optimistic posters still here. Look folks, this defense is historically bad and no cavalry is going to come to make up for the loss of Sean Lee. Ware will never play as a completely healthy warrior for this team again.

Romo and the offense have been generally horrible lately.

7-9 is sunny side from how I see it.

You say this like the Cowboys are any better. Has Garrett ever even HAD a 3 game win streak? Maybe in the middle of last season, right?

I didn't imply that the Cowboys are any better. In fact I expect the game to be close. I think it's more likely that we are very similar in talent level.

And yes Garrett had a three game in streak in 2011 and a four game streak in 2011.

I do think Garrett is gone if we don't qualify for the playoffs, with games like yesterday looming large in Jerry's mind.

8-8. they'll get 3 more wins. defense will improve with hatcher, claiborne, and wilcox returning. heath and webb are not nfl players.

I don't want to win the NFC East because I want changes.

Good, bad, I don't care. Something just needs to change. Sooner rather than later.

besides the 4 starters scheduled to come back? Outside of ~35% of our starting defense coming back, I agree that there is no Calvary.

if Rodgers and Cutler miss the games, I could see 9-10 wins. If they are back, I think 8-8 is in the cards again.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say 8-8.

everyone, including me, wants changes if we don't make the playoffs...if anyone could guarantee me that they hire a GM and REAL HC, then I am almost good with losing to get better...that being said, we will still have skeletor running the team, methuselah running the defense and likely Red still as HC, because gosh darn, he was the poster child of success at every HC stop that he had before being the HC of Dallas....oh wait.....

I'm beginning to think that my 7-9 prediction from a few weeks back was a tad optimistic. It could be 5-11.

But I'm staying with 7-9. They will win one of the last two NFCE games (+OAK), just to get a worse draft position.
