Not concerning the game, but concerning the outcome following the game.

I predict that if we go into Philly and take the game Sunday night, we not only win the division, but we end up with a very good record for the regular season.

If we lose the game, I just see it as one more step in what will be a grind it out regular season. By grind it out I don't mean it will be unsuccessful, but that we will have ups and downs, etc.

BUT if we WIN this game, I think it could be a huge boost for the rest of the year and kickoff something pretty special.

What do you think?

Btw: My pick for the game - Dallas by 5

I definitely do not agree that if we lose it's a sign of poor things to come. If we do lose, we will be a in dog fight with Vick (eagles) and the giants. If we win, we pretty much separate ourselves for Philly and put significant pressure on the nyg to win some tough games.

I think I read somewhere that Reid is 12-0 after bye weeks. Pretty impressive if true.

Hey Glory, you are saying the same thing I said. I DIDN'T say it will mean poor things to come. I said it will mean a grind it out regular season (in a dog fight with Philly and New York).... but if we win, I think we are no worse than 7-4 after Thanksgiving.

I think we're looking at a two quarter slug-fest that breaks open in the third and ends in a multiple-score win for Dallas. I think Philly is done as a result, though they might get a dead-cat bounce somewhere around midseason. I think then it's going to come down to Cowboys v. Giants where we've got a definite advantage with the schedule. There's no saying out the NFCE turns out, though, until we know if we sweep or split with NY.

Commanders fans, you guys can clean up after the party and remember to turn the lights out when you're done.

Hos included that in his post this week. And it IS impressive.

I could see a blowout(14+pts.) win by either team. Obviously I'm rolling with the Boys but wouldn't be surprised either way. This will not be a nail-biter til the end.

Yes it is.

But...

He does not have Jimmy Johnson (RIP) managing the defense. The LBers this year are horrible. Their DL has issues stopping the run. Their DBs have given up several big plays as well. Their redzone offense is not good either.

And the Cowboys have a good record beating teams coming off their bye week.

Eagles 27, Cowboys 17. DeMarco Murray comes back to earth; Garrett makes more bizarre red zone calls and Romo throws multiple picks. This board melts down and Jerry shoots off his mouth to the reporters in the booth. Garrett is fired next week and Barry Switzer is brought back in to coach. :p:

Cowboys - 27

Eagles - 17

I believe this is another game in the process of about 6-8 straight wins that I said last week I had a feeling the Cowboys were going to go on.

6 of those years they won at least 11 games though, another 2 they won 10. To me, it's more impressive he's fielded a winning team so often, winning after the bye is simply a reflection of them being a good team for most of his time as a coach, imo.

If they had been 6-10 most of those years and he won after the bye 12 years, the post bye stat would be more impressive to me. As it is, I think it has more to do with them being a better team than they faced in at least 8 of those games. Not that the bye was a difference maker.

Yes. But new CBA rules blah blah blah and teams coming the bye this year blah blah blah...

I predict that Michael Vick will have a far worst postgame press conference than Tony Romo will.

:)
