Normally I'd agree but I am hoping they kept him out on Saturday because they are going to feature him on Sunday. I hope they will but like you said, they'll probably drown with Zeke. Zeke can help the team but we need to feature Pollard.

I agree with this. I think giving him off this past weekend was to save him for the playoffs.

No way he gets more touches than Zeke.

Not a whole lot about the Niners season says they are about to give up tons of rushing yards....I would love to see KM get the backs involved in the passing game beyond the LOS though. The niners are going to play lots of zone and getting Zeke and Pollard the ball underneath it will soften it up.

I don't coaches would either. I think people under appreciate Zeke ability in his ability to pick up blitzers. I love having Pollard in the game and I fully expect him to see him involved in the game plan but in terms of overall snaps Zeke ability in running and pass protection still has a lot of value to this team.

Some could depend on need to use screens to break up linebacker blitzes...here, Pollard would be more effective at present.

Even Corey Clement looks better than Zeke.

I've been thinking the same thing. And there is precedence for this with the cowboys, though I can't remember exactly when, who, and how. Back in the corner of my brain, we ended up relegating a starter to back up for the playoffs.

Not this team and these coaches of course but still.

This is what I was going to say. A couple of stretch runs to make them defend the whole field and then both RBs can actual make downfield plays in the passing game. Pollards fast enough to even test their weak secondary deep if you wanted to.

God I hope not. I would have definitely expected that with Garrett.
Hopefully McCarthy is smarter than that. He has to know the offense is better with pollard, and it's not close.
If they don't give pollard more touches and Zeke struggles and the lose, I would think they would lose the respect of some of the players. Anyone without an agenda can see the offense is limited with Zeke in the backfield.
As a coach, you have to do what's in the best interest of the team, regardless of who's feelings may be hurt.
