Why do we still have some fans post about trading for RWilliams, Bouldin or CJ and then mention a first & third? Why haven't they followed this board closely enough to know that all 3 of those team want a heck of a lot more then a first & third? Why don't they know that the Bengals turned down the Commanders offer of 2 first rounders for CJ? Would seem to me that every true Cowboy fan understands that either 2 first rounders of a first rounder & a significant player would be demanded by any of their teams. In fact allegedly the Lions wanted a first for RWilliams and DeMarcus Ware. Would anyone on this board give up Ware for anybody? Sincerely doubt real Cowboy fans won't make or even consider such a trade.
As we get closer to the trade deadline, it is possible one of those WRs might become available if the team is losing and the GM/coach want to save their jobs. Frankly, we need to consider a lesser star WR who could help this team but admittedly I can't think of anyone; must admit I'd sure like Houston WR Andre ?? but he's not available either.
Now if the Pats hadn't signed away RFA Wes Welker from the Dolphins at the end of the 2006 season at a very cheap price cause Dolphins too cheap to tender him at a high price/first round money, maybe the Cowboys would have moved on him as soon as Jason Garrett was signed as our OC. Understand Welker was Garretts' favorite player on the Dolphins. Unfortunately we weren't that lucky but our pro scouts need be aware of every WR in the NFL just in case there's another hidden gem sitting out there. We don't need top WRs like the big 3 when players like Welker can more then do the same kind of job.
