I feel sure BP will be back to honor the last year of his contract. The question is, does he want to sign an extension and if so, what terms?
He could lose one or both his coordinators soon and having to hire and train more is a task. Could he in good conscience leave at the end of the 06-07 season without leaving a base intact that won't have to be changed much? Can he shore up his sagging OL to protect his aging QB and WR corps?
What's it going to be like coaching in 2007 without a salary cap? Will there be a new CBA without a lockout? Would teams hire substitutes? What's life going to be like in the brave new NFL East?
Also heavy on his mind has to be his brother's death as he now confronts the ultimate certainty of his own death and what he wants to do between now and then.
