these always come down to optimism vs. pessimism. the standard line is that SD simply has a better team, is playing at home, and should have enough to edge out the Cowboys.
i think we will have a good showing, but mistakes will keep the game a close one. big defensive plays tip the balance though, and the Chargers' comeback attempt falls short. Cowboys win the tussle, 27-23.

I was checking the preseason stats and noticed that Tomlinson only had ONE carry this preseason. (it was for a 55yd TD however)
Polar opposite of Parcells theory of giving his RBs some work to get them ready. Who can argue with Parcells proven track with RBs or with Tomlinson's personal success.

Here's hoping LT does get winded inthis game, that combined with Gates not being there cripples the SD offense. Offensively, I think we struggle initially to run and we also have pass protection problems on Pettiti's side, but second half adjustments protect Beldsoe better and the chargers D must back there safeties off, allowing JJ to get going. Cortez misses one, makes 2.

I'd like to know what teams DIDN'T have Merriman going in the first. To me, that's absurd. He was rated a top 10-15 player EVERYWHERE.

'Boys- 21
Bolts- 20

However I can see us losing because of a missed field goal as well... I really hope that Todd France is still on the market after this weeks schedule.

would love to see us break the week 1 losing streak. Unfortunately:

Bolts 24
Boys 20

But I hope I am wrong which I am alot.

Dallas in a walk. The Bolts are hopelessly overrated. Who do they have on defense that scares you? No one. Jammer? He's alright. Godfrey? Used to be great, but he's now old. Edwards? Same.

Julius Jones is going to SHRED them, then Witten is going to catch 150 yards in passes.

Without Gates, SD becomes totally one-dimensional. Dallas will focus on stopping LT, and that'll be that.

31-13, Dallas.

Bill keeps the offence conservative except for one trick play that either scores or puts us in good position to score. At the end of the day, Bill puts the game in the hands of the defense to hold on to the slim lead for the win.

With both teams switching to the 34 and similar coaching styles, Dallas has its starting TE's the bolts don't who was and is Brees favorite target. Dallas improved its secondary and pass rush but can we stop the run? the Bolts had a great run D so can we pass against them. how will Brees fare under constant pressure and blitz? How will Bledsoe fare under constant blitz.

The Blitz is the key here with us having Jason W and them missing Gates.

This is a game that could go either way. I'm going to go with Dallas 24-9

It's tough to win on the road. It's even tougher to win on the road against a good team. My heart says Dallas but my head says SD 24 -13.
