Prediction Time

24-14 Boys. Give Randy his two touchdowns. But Collins is gonna get hit, alot. Our offense will do nothing but please under this terrible secondary, Julius will have an average game.

It's a really tough game to call, at least for me because I have no clue how our defense is going to perform.

But the good news is, it seems like for the first time in a really long time theres no reason to think we cant score a lot of points of our own. It had been so frustrating to watch us move it ok between the 20's only to come to a brick wall. Knowing the only legit chance we had to win was by holding a team to under 20 points. Theres no shortage of offenses where that thought wasnt very comforting.

Not that Collins and co. are quite the offense to figure they score 30 against a weaker defense just by showing up, but they're just as capable of it as we are.

This game might well come down to whichever team misses the fewest FG's (even if very few are attempted) since neither guy exactly inspires confidence.

I think it will be a tough hard fought game, again, but we find away to win this one 23-20.
Larry Allen lifts Cortez above his head and carries him off the field in celebration of a last second game winning 53 yard FG.
They then become best friends for life.

I think what many people don't realize, is that the Raiders aren't a good team. They were terrible last year, and only made a single off-season improvement. While I have tempered my enthusiasm, I don't think it's out of the question for us to beat this inferior team.

Cowboys 28, Raiders 27.

Collins will have a pick and a fumble. Bledsoe either zero or one meaningless pick. JJ rushes for 120+ yards. Raiders have a chance to win (multiple probably) but blow them with penalties and dumb mistakes.

I agree but I also know a wounded dog can still take your hand off if you’re not careful. Raiders have their back against the wall heading into this game and Dallas will have to be on top of their game to get out of town with a win. For the year I agree Raiders could be in for a big let down but this 1 game is a dangerous game given the current situation in Oakland

Our "D" is a wounded dog right now too. They're taking alot of abuse, especially the secondary. I look for them to show up and play well, very well too...

Cowboys 31 Raiders 30

We win because Janokowski(?sp) misses an extra point with 2 seconds left.

Raiders 34 Cowboys 24. Moss will have 2 TD's, Porter will have 1, and Lamont Jordan will have 1. JJ has a big day but it's not enough. I think too many "mental errors" and a few TO's make us lose the game. I just don't think there headz are in it this week, too much distraction staying on the west coast and too much looking ahead to the Eagles. That's what I think will happen, personally I hope it's 55-3 Cowboys but that's just me!!

I see a breakout week for the Defense and a 31-14 victory. This is a Bill Parcells defense, he won't let them keep stinkin' it up.

I'm worried about Sapp and the other fat dude next to him. Sapp has to be the most over-rated DT in the league. However, every once in awhile, he comes to play. When he does that he's a pain in the arse. AJ may have his hands full. Better use Gurode on the run plays.
I can't predict. When I do, the opposite happens. When I realize the opposite is happening I go with the opposite and then the opposite happens again.

I think that this will be a closer game than a lot of us think and not as high scoring. If the two teams continue to play to form, I see a 24-21 score with the winner being the team with the fewest mistakes. As much as I want us to win, I see a stoked up Raider team and fans sneaking this one out on a noise related mistake late in the game. I sincerely hope I am wrong but we will see.

Exactly. I don't think we've played a complete game yet. Sure, they could blow us out, but maybe this is the week we really hit on all cylinders?

I still think we're way overdue for a score on defense, or a punt block, or a return for TD... Or maybe this is the week Ware puts it together.

Every since the Cowboys did not draft him, Moss has ALWAYS lit up the Cowboys for big games. I expect Sunday to be no different, with him having 6 - 8 catches for 120+ yards and coring two TDS against our soft in the middle pass defense. However our offense has shown its potency and is capable of making up large deficits in a hurry. With more of a running back by committee approach, I think we try to run the ball down their throat for ball control to keep Moss & Co off the field. Final Score - Cowboys 31 - Raiderettes 27.

We're going to take a hellacious beating. This board will be like a morgue come next week. We'll cringe at the level of despair. Perhaps one or two will take their own lives and become Skin's fans. It will get ugly.
Naw Michael, that was the week following the Skins game. We expected to beat them. Most posters here have marked this game down as an L... including me.

Raiders 38, Cowboys 28 in an old, AFC-style shoot out.

This defense needs some fixin'.
