How much do you think he will have lost by the beginning of camp?

Roy is listed at 6'0 and 225.

Odds board:

5/4 218-220

5/3 210-217

5/2 209-202

5/1 201 or less

:D

Not sure I got that right but you get the idea.
I think he'll come in at 213 and be stuffed up to about 220 by Thanksgiving

it doesn't matter cause by december he will be 230+ once again.

I'd have to see him. Last year by mid season, he looked around 235.

I would love for him to be in the 202-209 range. If he isn't going to be a big hitter anymore, at least be more agile and faster. I don't think it happens though. He will stay above 225.

I don't care if he weighs 340 or 140 - it's the way he is, or isn't, going to perform is all I'm concerned about . . .

I don't know if he's lost weight - confidence.........on the other hand.........

I think he should strive to play in the 220 pound range all year. I doubt, very seriously, looking at him last year that he was ever seriously below 230 at any point during the regular season.

Roy is going to cut any gut. He's gonna look the same, and the fans will complain.

The world will turn and the sun will rise

I think I seen him on one of those Nutrasystem ads with Marino and Salisbury.

I like the Jillian Barberie ads better

It's been in articles that he worked really hard this offseason to lose weight, and we'd be surprised to see the new RW. From the OTA pics there doesn't appear to be a big difference.

Roy losing weight is tough for him. If you look at him his legs are huge and that's where he could benefit to lose weight. but the problem is his legs are all muscle and that's the hardest place to lose weight(legs) especially if it's muscle. he should be working with the coaches on his angles so he doesn't think he has to cover like tnew(imo wasting his talent) instead getting back to taking good angles and smashing receivers as soon as the ball touches there hands.

I see what you're getting at. I'm all for using him where he is at his strongest.
However, I won't be confusing RW's legs with Emitt's anytime soon.

RW has weight to lose, and it has nothing to do with his legs. You have to be in position to smash a receiver otherwise you might only be able to...oh I don't know, horsecollar the WR. When's the last time you saw RW make a hit. It must be 2 and half years now.

I don't think so. RW is a proud athlete. Having to sit on third & longs really ate at him. That's why he hired a personal trainer who specialized in getting ripped with water training.

Williams looked pretty during a segment ESPN did on his off-season regimen. Also, Campo has made it clear he is dedicated to getting RW back to where he first came into the league.

I feel if they simplify his coverage duties, and just make him responsible for one half of the field, he can thrive again. The team also needs to put him closer to the line where he plays his best. He is the best PR in the secondary, and should be turned loose on the QB more often.

I think his weight will end up being whatever his position coach asks it to be.
