I get a blank Chat page. Is there a pregame chat and, if so... anyone there? I have the correct Java plugin, but nada.

Problem: most likely with my computer or the page? Key, Zordon... anyone?

Just saw your reply. Nope, never did get it to work. Re-loaded the required Java plugin — already had it, but I downloaded it again, anyway... just in case — in both the 32-bit and 64-bit Windows options. Still no go.

Message on the Chat Room's otherwise blank page this time: "The chat room may not be accessed from this website."

Will have my son, who works in the field of computer system support, take a look at it when I see him next. Hoping to have Chat Room capabilities for the 3rd preseason game.

No biggie. Appears to be a problem on my end. Thank you for having been Johnny-on-the-Spot in having PMd me, in support. I appreciate it, Big Dog.

I went with posting in the gameday threads... 1st half, 2nd half, and post-game threads BP set up. Made due just fine.

Love CowboysZone for covering everyone, one way or the other.

I checked the logs .. looks like you tried accessing the chat room via new.cowboyszone.com instead of cowboyszone.com. That "new" URL was put in a year or so ago when the servers were upgraded and the IP addresses changed to the server. It was only a temporary fix so some users who still had the old DNS info cached could access the site until it updated on their computer.

I have reconfigured the server so that anyone going to that URL will now redirect automatically to the correct URL. That is why the chat room would not allow you to enter since it did not recognize new.cowboyszone.com as a valid location.

Appears to work like a charm now. I get a message, "You have entered ZoneChat." No sign of tonight's game chat, but maybe that's only active for a set period of time. I haven't done the ZoneChat before, so not sure how that works.

It's a real time chat so most people have left the chatroom by now. It will be active again next game though definitely. I only wish I had read this thread earlier.
