Prescott and the Blitz (updated)

Why did they chose games?
Not when Cooper came
Not when winning streak started

I love the improvement, but weird sample size to choose.

I'd like to see fumbles added as with Dak it's probably more relevant than interceptions.

I’ve been one of Daks biggest critics, but I’m gonna slow up and support the young man the rest of the year. Not gonna be negative towards him. I hated the folks that did it to Romo, and I’ve found myself doing what I hated. So here’s to you Dak go earn that 25 million dollar a year contract! Bring us a chip.

Sample is all 13 games. Look at the six games since the trade for Cooper:

vs.Ten 42.5
at Phi 78.0
at Atl 51.3
vs Was 119.2
vs. NO 119.8
vs Phi 152.7

I could have split it up into "before" vs "after" the trade, but that's not the natural way to show what happened. In fact, that would have been misleading.

What's not natural about displaying before and after trade? What was the week 11-13 event you're comparing to the first 10?

Nothing wrong with taking a step back to evaluate new information. Kudos.

Prescott vs. Blitz
Games 1-10
48 of 87 (55%) 542 yd (6.2 ypa) 3 td 3 int 71.1
Games 11-13
26 of 32 (81%) 320 yd (10.0 ypa) 2 td 0 int 129.2

Philly's not much of a blitzing team, but it actually seemed like we countered it fairly well when the Eagles did blitz. Several quick-hitting plays instead of seemingly running slow-developing routes.

Yes Cooper has opened the gates, but Dak deserves some credit too. Cooper was never this effective in Oakland with a QB many on these boards say we should be pursuing- Derek Carr. Dak is better than Carr,

Cooper is getting more one-on-one looks here from what I understand. (I don't watch Oakland, so I don't know for sure.) Teams are still more focused on stopping Zeke. It'll be interesting to see how we handle it if they start doubling Cooper.

I just listed game by game since the trade. You didn't see anything different about the last three, compared to the first three?

If he can clean up somethings I think he can be very good. He has the mental make up as he doesn’t get rattle and is good leader. Hopefully he can improve on the other areas.

I'm about to puke in my mouth, but Linehan deserves some credit too.
